G80 M3 / G82 M4 Race Downpipe Sound Clips and testing - SSR Performance
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com We've seen a bunch of people asking for downpipes for the platform so we went ahead and made some downpipes and intakes! On a stock engine average gains of approx 20whp/20 wtq were seen with the downpipes as tested on our mustang dyno. Thought we'd share this video so you can hear our G80/G82 downpipes in action. Seemingly the stock downpipes are pretty efficient on an all stock engine. We cant wait till the DME's are cracked so that we can see what stage 2 and beyond will do! With the gains show, I could almost certainly say that there are cats on these. 200 CEL seems to be the standard, when going with an aftermarket catted solution.
Also, in my opinion, I doubt any tuners are going to start going catless until the DME is cracked, or they have another solution to permanently remove the CEL light, and not lose low end torque. |

I think they are catted as well with those numbers.
I wonder if JB4 can be paired with catless downpipes.

I think the new M sounds quite good, even in stock form.

I see these have come down in price to
Under $1k. Did anyone buy them? https://www.ssrperformance.com/produ...iABEgJ22vD_BwE I see they mentioned a tune to avoid a CEL. Not so sure about that…sounds like you're getting a CEL with these? |

Any downpipe that has sensors will throw CEL if you go with catless or high-flow cat.
It is a given, unless you can beat the system monitoring by flash tune.
