Yeah, me too. I have Akra on my E93, and I absolutely love it. It was on the car when I bought it used.

I too do shudder to think how much this will cost on the G8X. ...could easily be near $10k.

Agreed $10K would be a ripoff. Never a fan the way Akropovic sounds as well.

He is in Canada so $10k isn't USD I am assuming. They were $7k for F80 so why would it be $3k more for the G80?

A cat back exhaust should cost under $1000. There is no exhaust worth more than that

I have it on my F-82 and it sounds like shit. LOL. We will see how the EQ midpipe helps. 6500.00 bucks for nothing. HA HA. I think that's what it cost back when I got it.

G82 has a nicer tone. I hope they do well this time.

How and when did exhausts get so expensive!? I remember getting them for my e36 and E46 back in the day for $500 for a good one

Custom would be a lot cheaper I bet

Not the same animal but this was on the M5 Competition I recently test drove and it sounded amazing. It was a $7k titanium exhaust option with "BMW" on the tips but it wasn't difficult to figure out who really made it.

Other than showing everyone that you can afford a $7K piece of metal, what's the particular interest in this exhaust?

For the E92 M3 I could see the appeal since dropping nearly 50lbs of weight was a huge improvement on that platform.

But on the G80, why spend $7K on an exhaust other than to impress others?

I don't get it either but I saw one of the companies offering the Mid Pipe was saying it's 25lbs lighter so I'm sure weight is one factor but I just don't understand how anyone can pay this price for a 'brand name' essentially. I think a really good exhaust fabrication shop can do a custom job for a fraction of the price

Weight is not really a factor anymore with this platform. I think $1500-$2500 is reasonable. But $7K
