Like many of you here, I very curious to see what Skyscraper grey will look like. After looking at the swatch, as well as paint samples from touch up paint I found a few things.

Using Brooklyn as a baseline, Skyscraper is slightly warmer (more of a neutral grey). It has brighter highlights, and much deeper shadowing. This will translate to contrast, bringing out the body lines of the G80 more.
Yeah I really think it will be like a slightly darker oxide and with silver flake instead of gold. Should be awesome and remains my top choice for now.

I found one pic on instagram, claiming it is Skyscraper Grey.

I can't really confirm, but it's something...

Using the online configurator and desaturating the images, it seems Skyscraper may be a slightly darker shade than Oxide.

That's how I expect it to look so I think you've found it. I don't understand why they would only post one kind of bad rear shot.

Doesn't really imply how metallic the colour is. Which is what I want to know. If it's flat it isn't for me. If it's similar to oxide, just more grey rather than champagne, it's a rival to Iomg...

[QUOTE=Transfer;27307864]I spent about an hour checking out a white M4, IOMG M4, and this Brooklyn grey M3. I've liked BG but thought it was a little dull. It certainly presents better in person and is a shade darker than almost all pics and vids. I really liked it immediately but I'm not sure it's special enough for what I'm looking for and I'm having a real hard time with color choices. I tried to capture the true shade in the first pic below.

I checked out the same one and it surprised me how freaking great it looks in person. I was jiving with TB2 until seeing that one on the floor. Pictures are hard to do BG justice and you've done a great job catching it.

Anyone happen to know how does oxide grey compare to stratus grey? seriously considering opting for the latter when g81 is launched but not sure if there's enough difference to justify the premium.

Skyscraper confirmed

This picture are from a skyscraper in official BMW dealer in Germany. Confirm by them that's the color.

Thanks for posting, I like it! Can someone please remind me of this color's availability in the US? And if it's a serial or individual color?

So basically looks like a lighter shade of mineral grey in those photos. Not a bad thing per sey

But need proper pics in sunlight. Not sure why this color is so elusive, barely anything circulating on the interweb

Winner winner! Nice find! I've been scouring the web for months to find photos like these so thanks.

To me it's a 50:50 mix between glacier silver and space gray.

Definitely looks close to Space Gray! I wonder if this will be available in US, maybe introduced with AWD. I can hope!

It's a serial color only available for the new M3 (G80) and M4 (G82). Reference C4W.

Donington Grey

There are certainly a lot of greys available, but none of them really appeal to me. The one I'd really like to see is Donington Grey Metallic, which is available on the M5 and 7-Series.

I saw in the BMW Individual catalog this statement:

Series colours and BMW Individual collection colours included in the official BMW paintwork range can be swapped within and between series. Only possible for paintworks from German production plants.

Since this color is available in Dingolfing (where they make the M5) then I wonder if it can be easily applied to the M3 in Munich?

Does anyone know if this would carry the usual $5500 premium, or potentially less because it's a series-production color?

Yup totally agree. Donington is perfect on the G80. I believe the individual paint cost is $4500 and it is listed as an optional pain on the individual visualizer page so it can be done. I need to see skyscraper on an M3 but so far I'm underwhelmed with it on the M4s seen.
Otherwise Brooklyn may be the choice for me as I generally like alpine white but I don't think it works on the G80 and Brooklyn is a nice alternative.
