IND G82 M4 Painted Front and Rear Roundel Install Guide

IND’s renowned painted roundels have become a staple amongst discerning BMW owners—the overall effect is immense compared to the physical size of the modification.

With the relative "ease" of install, many enthusiasts enjoy installing their own painted roundels, so we’ve created a couple quick installation DIY videos to help.

Tools needed:
  • Bondo spreader
  • Pry Tool
  • Painters tape
  • Adhesive remover

STEP 1:
Apply a complete ring of painter's tape around the OE hood or trunk roundel to protect the surrounding paint.

STEP 2:
The roundel is affixed by two pins (three in the case of the trunk roundel) and a ring of adhesive. Work a bondo spreader, provided
with an IND install kit, behind the OE roundel to separate it from the panel.

STEP 3:
After removing the hood roundel, transfer the two grommets from the OE roundel back into the bumper panel recesses. These will also help align the IND replacement roundel appropriately during installation.

*For the M4 trunk roundel, after carefully peeling the OE roundel away from the trunk panel, use a flathead screwdriver to pry open the camera "door" and remove the backup camera from its housing.

STEP 4:
Thoroughly remove the OE roundel adhesive residue to ensure a uniform and clean surface onto which the IND roundel replacement may adhere.

STEP 5:
Expose the adhesive ring on the IND hood roundel replacement and, with uniform pressure, install the roundel onto the bumper panel.

*Before adhering the M4 Trunk Roundel, reinstall the backup camera into its housing.
