What is the 'M Shadowline Lights' option?

There is no explanation on the configurator, does it just come with a tinted look?

I built my G82 with the shadow line lights. It darkens the internal structure of the headlights. In my opinion this does make a difference in the look of the front end of the car. I am pleased with the outcome for such a small cost.

ya the configurator does a poor job showing this but yes it paints some of the chrome inside the headlight.

I can speak on the laser light version, the top eyebrow portion that runs parallel to the hood line is black instead of chrome. This darkens the headlights to give it a more blacked out look. You can see the straight on picture does not have the shadowline lights. And the other two are much darker

For those who have the shadowline lights, is the light housing itself tinted?
Some of the pictures I've seen so far seem to be that way, not sure if it's visual illusion.
Also, the hexagon angel eyes seem to be dimmer on the shadowline.
Am I mistaken?

If I order the executive package and get the laser lights are the shadow line also laser lights? So they’re are 2 versions of the shadow line? LED and Laser? I’m a little confused. When you look at the visualizer, the shadow line headlights are the standard LED lights with black housings. I’m ordering the icon laser, so, if I add shadow line, will I get shadow line lasers?

I have not seen another non shadowline light to compare, but visually this was a must have for me on a alpine white exterior/CF accents. The inside of the housing itself is black on mine, so doubt its tint.

Ordering a White M440i, and trying to decide on the M Lights Shadowline Option, but dont have any comparisons.

Some pics make them look tinted?? or is it just the black out of the chrome bits?

No, someone put some tint film on these. This is my car. These are how the stock shadowline lights look, and you can see in the second pic where I just took a picture of the part that's shadowline. In the non shadowline lights, this is chrome.
