S58 engine in the new G8X M cars and crank hub

Anyone know if the S58 engine in the new G8X M cars will have the same "weak link" crank hub as the S55 in the F8X cars?

I don't have all the tech specs, but I believe this is a single piece in the S58 and is no longer an issue.

That small potential issue really put me off in purchasing an M2C. Then they locked out the ECU and I was like...well, I guess I have to move on

NICE!
Now let's hope rod bearings are not made of plastic.
Given BMW track record, they need to mess something up with this generation.
SOme say they already did with the grill, if that's the only thing thats messed up Ill take it

If you wanted to go stage 2+ with it, then yeah, avoid it for those two reasons. This was hardly on the radar with stock cars.
