Changes to order @ Status 112

I currently have a week 10 production week with the vehicle currently being 112. Vehicle has individual paint.

I'm looking to get an M performance part removed and the dealer is stone walling me telling me it cannot be removed.

I was under the impression changes still could be made up until the point the vehicle hits 150? Any recommendations?

This is the screen that he sent me in a text message.

Yes it is true , no changing an individual order @ 112.

The owner of the dealership could potentially have some swing but they do not like doing this so you're most likely SOL.

Yes, you cannot make updates at 112 for an individual order.

You can request your CA to talk to their BMW contact as its something minor.

They said they would leave a note for the VPC to not install the front splitter, I would think getting it removed prior to 150 but it looks like that may not be possible. I appreciate it.

I think they are port installed. I dont see why not as you can make any changes in 112.

Bc once an individual order is approved, it's locked. No more changes.

You can have them remove it from the order up until it arrives at port. Might be locked right now, but it is possible once it hits 150

Not necessarily. 112 it's truly locked. Once approved, the dealer cannot modify it themselves.

They are in fact port installed. I understand not being able to make core changes to the build, options, paint etc. I would think items that are installed at the port would be changeable though....worse case scenario I will just keep the M Performance spoiler on there or sell it for cheap.

Nice, I might end up buying it LOL. Try ask the BMW genius and see what they say. I bet the dealer won't be happy with that though lol

I spoke with one, he didn't seem to confident on an answer. He said if the dealer cannot make changes on their end then they may not be able to change it. He said himself or the BWM Genius's cannot make changes on people's builds and that it needs to go through their dealerships.

He mentioned to speak with a sales manager to see if I could gain any traction with him, I was not able to get ahold of the sales manager. Fingers crossed something can be done but I don't have high hopes.

They said they will try to get ahold of the VPC when the vehicle lands or goes 150 to have that lip removed.
