Build Week 48

Hello guys this is an odd build week pretty far out but wanted to see if anyone is in the same boat as i am, i was at build week 44 until i added carbon buckets and got delayed 4 extra weeks but those seats are worth it, anyways share ur build and timeline good luck to everybody hope this process is goes by fast!!

Same thing happened to me, my buckets delayed me from 45 -> 51 -> 48 so I don't expect to stay here for long

Pretty sure it's the buckets causing the delay as that's what both my CA and genius said. Many other people who have specced buckets got a few weeks delay.

When I got my allocation my BW was 48 from the start. Which did seem a little odd but not a big deal. Just gives me more time to keep saving up and make my payments that much lower. After reading a bunch of threads it seems a lot of builds have been moved to BW 45-48 that have carbon buckets.

i love the build i was actually gonna go with PB and silver stone but decided to go with black and orange but i love ur build cant wait for all of our. g80/82s to come in long wait time but worth the wait!

Seems like everyone in week 48 has carbon buckets. I’m initially week 46 when I called about a week ago. Ill call in the morning and get a update. Having a feeling I’ll be pushed to week 48 as well.

Initial subsidiary build week of 44. Just moved from 105 to 111 with a build week of 48.

Debating on adding executive package to my build right now however I'm worried that it could delay the build even further, have any of you guys added an option and experienced a further delay?

Not a great comparison for your situation, however I added carbon buckets 4 weeks before my build week and it resulted in no delays. My car is build week 45 and reached status 150 late last week.

Just a personal opinion here: Frankly, I would have lived with a delay to ensure my build had the options that I wanted. I've purchased dealer stock before and there were always a couple of features that I would / would not have selected. Now that I have the opportunity to spec a car exactly how I want it, I'm not compromising. For me, the revs being displayed on the HUD (in M Sport mode) is an absolute must-have and I would endure a delay (if there even is a delay) to get it.

don't pass on the executive package. I am with unibrowser spec your car, so you don't have any regrets.

Heated steering wheel for the wife
Power tailgate, well is just part of the package.

To me is worth the $1,800

08/22/22 - Dealer contacted/order placed after test driving a demo M4 with buckets and CCB.
08/26/22 - Production number received Prod week 44 with status 111.
08/29/22 - Conf. Prod week 48, (48/11/2022). Exp. Del. Wk. 51/12/2022
