Thanks for the love on your site Expert@ApexWheels but slight typo on the tires... rears are your recommended 305/30-20 on Conti DWS

Expert@ApexWheels do you see any issues running 5mm spacers with the 20” vs5rs on an xDrive? Other than maybe some rubbing

Sorry for the delayed response to this, no notification came through on our end.

Which specific 20" fitment are you inquiring about? Front or rear?

For the 20x10 ET8, you could run it, but it would be way more likely to rub especially at full steering lock up front. Spacers also wouldn't be required for any of the 20" fitments we produce in terms of inner clearance.

Im running the Front: 20x10" ET8 and Rear: 20x11” ET18 and just toying with the idea of putting 5mm spacers for a super flush look.

The worst that would happen is some rubbing. Be sure you test the front fitment with the spacer at full steering lock to see if it clears.

First "track" day with the VS-5RSs, at an autocross (and first time with the wheels on the car). Absolutely no complaints, and I dig the look as well. The recommended ET for a staggered setup was perfect.

I don't think the Advan Neova AD09s like being cold though. The structure of the autocross never really allowed the tires to get some good heat into them. I'll be heading to Streets of Willow in a couple weeks to give them a good workout though.

Please keep us in the loop. I’m currently debating on a new set of dailyable track tyres and while I’ve enjoyed the GY SC3’s, I’m considering the AD09’s vs the RT660. Something tells me I’d enjoy the AD09’s longevity but will like the RT660’s more when on track.

Sorry, forgot to come back to this.

First, in the spirit of the thread, the Apex VS-5RS's are awesome. Full stop.

With respect to the AD09's, I don't have any other tires to compare to on a track, but I can tell you that the AD09's worked well for me at Streets of Willow. My alignment is -2.25 camber front with 3/16" toe-in and -2.0 camber rear with 3/16" toe-in.

My starting pressure was 29 PSI and they came in hot at about 34-36 PSI (going by memory). I didn't get on them until they were warm, and they are definitely faster than I am. It was a "friends" group with everybody (my friends) being much slower than I was, so I didn't get many clean laps once they were good and warm (I was lapping people within four laps even when I started first). My best lap CW was a 1:26.1 coming on the third lap of the final session. Which I think is respectable, but I definitely left a lot of time on the table.

After three sessions (four including the lead/follow) wear was good; it was even with no galling, shredding, or chunking. I didn't notice any "greasiness" or falloff during a session from beginning to end.

I'll be heading to Chuckwalla (Sat) this weekend and Buttonwillow (Sat and Sun) next weekend. I'll be in the intermediate group for both on much larger tracks, so hopefully I'll be able to get some clean laps. I'm sure that I'll have much more feedback after those track days. By the end of Buttonwillow I'll have 4 track days + 1 auto cross day, and at least 16 heat cycles on the set. That should give a good sense of longevity (assuming they make it to Sunday @ Buttonwillow).

I'll try to remember to take pictures of the treads throughout all of the sessions.

We don't plan to offer more colors in the 18" fitment at the moment but I may change my mind if enough folks show interest! Thanks for the feedback.

I don't have any shots of that combination, unfortunately, but its a striking color. I love the way it looks in certain low light scenarios:

Thinking of swapping my back 826Ms for a set of Apex VS5-RSs in either Black or Anthracite. I'm concerned that Anthracite finish might clash with the Skyscraper Gray paint. Does anyone have these in black or anthracite on SSG and care to share a photo?
