Not to sound incredible picky or petty, but when using the BMW centercaps, do they not sit flush against the face? Or is this just because these are the "self-centering" center caps?

I believe it is actually related to the self-centering caps. I found a few quick examples of the standard caps:

All of those look flush to my eye, but here is another car with self-leveling caps sitting slightly proud of the face:

I should note that the cap fitment isn't compromised and that self-leveling caps still stay in the wheels. I haven't seen this detail before but it is an interesting one.

19/20" VS-5RS + OE tire notes

Wheels:
Forged VS-5RS in Anthracite
Front: 19x10 ET12
Rear: 20x11 ET18

Tires:
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
Front: 275/35-19
Rear: 285/30-20

We’ve had a number of G80 customers reach out to ask what the best Apex wheel setup is for those who want to reuse their OE tires that the car came with from the factory. While our wheel setups are optimized around wider tire fitments than stock, we understand many G8X owners want to reuse their original tires to save money before moving on to wider fitments. There are also some who prefer to use the OE michelin star BMW spec tires engineered for the car specifically. For either camp, choosing a great set of Apex wheels should be easy. This feature showcase focuses on the setup we recommend most often for those looking to reuse OE tires.

Most of the G8X M3s and M4s as well as all of the G87 M2s we’ve seen come equipped with 19” front and 20” rear wheels. The stock 275/35-19 front tires fit well on our 19x10 ET12 wheels providing a great amount of sidewall support. In the rear, we generally recommend our 20x11 ET18 wheels. While this is a wider wheel than we’d generally recommend for a 285-section tire, the tire stretch is not bad overall as you can see below. We’d still recommend running wider tires once you wear through the original set of tires, but hopefully this photoset helps those of you considering this fitment for your OE tires.

Sorry for the delayed followup. Yes! The SM-10RS was the most popular second option, so we're bringing those to market in 19/20" diameters later this year.

Our initial small order of those wheels sold through except for 3 brushed clear units. We'll be getting more through October.

For a RWD G82 and the VS-5RS wheels in 19X10(F) and 19X11(R) - would these tires work:
Hankook RS4 - (F)275/35/19 (R)305/30/19

Goodyear Supercar 3R - (F)285/35/19 (R)305/30/19

I don't see these listed on the Apex fitment guide, possibly because the diameter difference is slightly too much? I'm very interested in running these tires, but don't want to do 275 square because it seems a little too narrow in the rear for this car. Thanks.

Anyone got more pictures of 20s all around? Trying to decide between 19 all around, 19 front and 20 rear, or 20s all around.

The tire diameter on these is fine for a RWD car and they would fit. The car is going to be more prone to understeer than other configurations because of the comparative ratio of front to rear tire width but other than that, it would be fine to run.

You can find all our photos and sort by diameter options on our gallery pages here:

G80: https://apexwheels.com/gallery/bmw/m3/g80

G82: https://apexwheels.com/gallery/bmw/m4/g82-g83

Those have most of the shots I've seen, but others may have setups that I haven't uploaded.

The setup you mentioned can definitely work, but I haven't seen that combination run yet. A few customers have run our 19x9.5 ET25 SM-10s square as a winter setup with spacers:

Man this looks good... I think I like the gloss version more than the standard motorsport gold honestly.

We still have 1 set of these in stock if someone likes what they see and is interested in a discount. Upside: brand new VS-5RS wheels discounted, the downside is that we won't have replacement wheels in a matching finish in the future should you damage a wheel.

Shoot me an email (expert@apexraceparts.com) if you want a quote.

We don't have caps with our new logo on them yet. But we do carry 5x112 g chassis spec old Apex caps and the OE BMW caps.

Let us know how the AD09s are! I'm curious about how they wear compared to some of the other endurance 200s over the life of the set.
