First Photoshoot of My '22 G80 Competition xDrive in Individual Frozen Portimao Blue
Now that I've had my car professionally photographed, I thought I would finally make a thread highlighting the modifications done to my G80 over the last six months of ownership.
I'll save the long, multi-paragraph ramblings that tend to accompany these types of posts and get right to the mod list followed by the pictures taken by the incredibly talented @loafedbread on Instagram. If anyone has any questions, feel free to message me here, reply to the thread, or DM me on Instagram. I'm happy to help as best as I can. My Instagram and the photographer's Instagram. Mod list:

Call me crazy but I love seeing M3's with sunroofs.

Me too. I think the CF roof looks pretty damn good, but I love the look of a tilted/popped sunroof on a fast four door sedan. Plus I'd imagine it's a "rare" option to pick on the G80 so I enjoy that aspect too.

Just wow!! Looks stunning! The 50th anniversary badges goes so perfectly with this colour.

Love the color and your setup. I got the same color on my M4, but not the frozen look..it looks amazing. It's a shame that the car didn't come standard with laser lights! Come on BMW.

Thank you, and agreed. It's not the worst thing but I'm definitely hoping to source some lasers from a crashed G80 down the road to retrofit them. For a car that can top out at around $100K, the $1K lasers should have been standard...

You get to hear a specific tone from the system that you'll never get to experience with just one of the side windows cracked open a little bit. To those who've done this & experienced this, it's a great hidden feature that CF roof can't replicate. On a road / street car, I'll take the sunroof any day & all day.

I plucked this one off the dealership lot. I was absolutely cool with the sunroof (love it, wouldn't have it any other way) and figured it wouldn't be difficult to eventually source a pair of Laserlights to retrofit. Easy choice when, by the time I would have placed a factory order, all G80s were shipping with iDrive 8, which was a dealbreaker IMO. It's the perfect spec for me, minus the standard headlights, which I'll swap eventually.

Also agreed there. Especially when hauling the wife to dinner or something and she wants to keep her hair perfect (lol), it allows me to enjoy the sound a bit more without drawing any complaints from the peanut gallery. |
