I with both of ya. I sold my M4 in December and have been a 1 car family driving my wife's Jeep Gladiator. It was a pain because she couldn't go no where while I drove to work. I ended up loving the Jeep while driving over snow so I decided to buy me a used 2007 Wrangler so that is my daily now and when the G83 gets here I wont need winter tires. Also the Jeep is a fun off roading SUV so there's that.
Gave our son our car when he started university last September. My wife and I are now sharing one car … a little like when we both first graduated and didn't have money for a second one. Our 22 M3x Comp has been waiting for RAM at Bremerhaven since Oct 14.

When is the SOP (Start of Production) for MY 2023 for the G8X? That date may influence my decision on what do next.

I just spoke with my CA about it, he is as frustrated as I am, specifically when BMW is pushing this all onto the CA/dealers. He offered to give me an allocation he has for a February build, and to just take whichever one gets here first. It sucks that either way I think I'm looking at May.

It's in July some time, not sure of the exact date, but probably towards the end of the month.

My excitement level wore off than came again once I left qc and wore off again once I realized my ram is till open and most likely I'll be waiting another month or two when it arrives at the Baltimore port. I just started have the mind set of meh, it will arrive one day. My cut off point though will be once the 2023s start coming out lol.

After venting and calming down after that poor message delivery by a case manager, I said my true line in the sand would be a big financial change/impact in terms of additional rate increases (likely coming in March or beyond) and/or the dealership trying to change the price at the last minute. I think I might be with you though in regards to the 2023s. If someone took delivery of a 2023 model before I got my car and BMWNA was still completely silent on the issue, I'm fairly certain I would just walk away from the brand out of spite.

I moved to 'Dispatched from Factory' today - whee. One interesting note is that my production date changed from mid-November to today. Wonder what that will mean for 2022 MSRP increases…

Not minding the delay

I turned in my F82 to BMW early December, as I got a great price, used cars are at a premium. Saved lots of $$ by not having to pay to replace plugs, brakes, tires etc. that were either due or coming due. And, I am saving that monthly payment + insurance + gas every month while my new BCM M4 Comp makes it's way though the system. I am taking the trade in $ and monthly savings to put a larger down payment, to lower my overall payment. I wish I had done this earlier and at least tried to get the 0.9% rate. That's the only downside/unknown at this point. I am in QC for 2 weeks now, and I look at the status 10 times a day like everyone else. However, I smile when it doesn't move instead of getting upset. It's a known delay not just for BMW, but all manner of consumer purchases, for parts that are in short supply and high demand, but beyond anyone's control. It will get here eventually, and I will enjoy it to the fullest.

Please, when your car is stuck in QC for three+ months and BMW won't even talk to you, like they'll do everything in their power to avoid you, you'll have a different opinion. I mean, I hope it doesn't happen to you, but the way they're dealing with this is apocryphal.

Not sure of the upside of being stuck when I placed an order 6 months ago, have now used up my lease extensions and have to turn in my current car with no clear idea when the new one will arrive.

But hey, guess I'll save on gas, right?

I've been following this thread for months, like you I traded in my F82 6 months ago and took advantage of all the benefits in waiting (car was due a full service, tyres etc. no fuel, monthly payment or insurance during the wait)
I was lucky to take delivery two weeks ago, but I still keep up to date with the progress of fellow enthusiasts painful QC saga.
I think you'd maybe word things a little differently if you'd been aware of what they've been put through. I can only imagine the displeasure now for all of them constantly checking and being disappointed on a daily basis.
Power two you if your true to your word in three months time knowing your car is in a lot covered in dust. maybe then you'll be in a position to tell it like it really is…

Good Morning fellow enthusiasts in agony.

I was perusing through the X5 forum last night and came across a post where some folks had emailed a different set of BMW Execs on the topic of the touchscreen removal (back in the fall). Generally from the comments in the thread, they seemed to receive some feedback/response from these execs and in some cases satisfactory outcomes (incentives, $ etc).

Here are the execs names / addresses. I plan to send off an email to them today. It’s probably going to result in more pissing into the wind but I figure it can’t hurt.

So I went to check on my M4 QC Status this morning and my virtual garage is Empty? It said "Looks like your virtual garage is empty. Click ADD A VEHICLE to manage the BMW vehicles you drive."

My car was there yesterday, anyone else have this issue?

It's there, just wonky (as usual). Tap MyGarage, then Track my BMW, then the Arrow, then you'll see your car. Just don't expect any change in status.
