Glad to hear this, I spoke with the GM and was told the same except I know he didn't call BMWFS. So apparently the dealers (or some at the dealer know this fact).

Just spoke with my CA and he confirmed they will be doing this for me as well I'm extremely happy for this, it's shedding a little light into a long, dark tunnel.

Something tells me some dealerships were already instructed to do this for customers though. It's only right anyway

[QUOTE='Cane;28506065]I feel like I've complained so much, and they know my VIN, they're going to make me wait longer out of spite.

I thought about that too but I can’t help myself.

I've already asked my CA twice (online and in person) and inquired whether the GM could talk to BMW FS but they said they wouldn't be able to. My rate lock is good until the end of March and with my vehicle now past QC I hopefully won't need to press the issue again however at this point I'm not going to lose too much sleep over a 1% increase given how agonizing the wait has been.

That's nice. My dealership isn't willing to do this. I wonder if this is something I need to take up with BMW FS because they are the ones ultimately that would compensate the dealership or make them whole.

Exactly. It's pretty pointless, they don't know and they don't care.

Pretty high considering that it's cold especially since they're stored outside, I had flat spots on my corvette after it sat for 3 months so hopefully if our cars ever do get released from qc the tires and paint is going to be in good shape

Very sad situation. And the worst part is the total lack of communication from BMW. Both my CA and BMW customer relations has nothing to say other than here in NA we are getting no information. Totally disgusted.

While your individual dealer and CA are indeed left clueless, BMW corporate obviously knows why your car (and the scores of others like it) is not moving. You're not being told the reason because they know you will be even more irate if you found out. So why tell you?

And, yes, the reason comes down to money. It's more cost effective to bmw to supply the cars coming off the line with the missing parts and get them out the door than it is to prepare and move those cars into storage just to get yours out first. Your car will get it's missing parts too in time with any leftovers not needed on the factory floor. Don't you feel special!

I agree, of course BMW knows and they are withholding information. You are probably correct with your assessment as to what’s going on. Now the question is how long do we have to wait. On February 8th it will be 3 months since my car has been in QC.

Right behind you, Feb 11th will be three months for me. What are we supposed to do? Wake up every day and check my garage? Every week? When do we just give up?
