Ooo no thats not where i was going man, I 110% agree with you it is mind boggling that we're making nearly 6 figure purchases and we're getting absolutely shit customer service, I made many phone calls and emails and complaints and all I get is the same scripted bs like you said with the semiconductor shortage covid blah blah blah , it is just crazy how bad they treat customer that are making these kind of purchases, I was just trying to analyze the situation, thats the conclusion I came to brother. It is very very sad how poorly BMW treats us.

Has anyone ever had any issues with Porsche/Audi/Mercedes? How were they in comparison? Just curious to see if this is status quo for the industry or BMW specific.

Just got an email from my SA. I have missing the RAM and the booster(amplifier). BMW AG has no idea when the parts arrived. Buildweek 46 en status 155 on 11/18. I'm in Belgium. Waiting, Waiting.....I go crazy!!

I have Harman Kardon, maybe is that special booster(amplifier)? Anybody else with HK stuck in QC(155)?

Unfortunately no matter who we email or who we complain to nothing is going to get resolved because BMW as a whole is in a win win situation because if any of us back out they can sell that car in a heartbeat for MSRP or more because of the current situation. The demand is so high for these cars, a few angry customers complaining will not make BMW change anything sadly.

It's definitely clear to me now that it's more cost effective to just equip all the cars with CIDs and RAMs right at the assembly line and use the excess for the ones in QC . We're either going to be that lucky 1 or 2 that move soon or we're just going to keep on waiting until they resolve this parts issue.
Yep, my only hope is that which ever third party is manufacturing these CIDs will deliver a large shipment of them to bmw soon that will not only cover the cars coming off the assembly line, but also a large portion of ours that are in storage. That's my prediction actually. We will not only see just 1 or 2 of our cars come out of purgatory at a time (to give us the illusion of progress), but instead it will be also be a flood of them all within the same week. When that week will come is anyone's guess. Could be next week or a month from now.

What if it's 3 or 6 months from now? At what point does each of us say enough? I'm going to be angrier with myself if I just sit on my hands and months down the road I'm still in the same position...

After being stuck in purgatory since Nov. 19, mine too was just released today. Woot woot!! I think that flood of parts coming in that I just mentioned yesterday, looks like it's becoming a reality. Fingers crossed for all those in QC hell.

I received a call from BMW NA in response to my email to the CEO. Unfortunately I didn’t take the call and was left a voicemail from customer service. I returned the call and had to leave a message. The voicemail I got basically said “ this is in response to your email sent to the executive offices regarding your M4 being in QC since 11/8. Unfortunately we do not have any additional information but I would be happy to talk to you.”
Same old thing they have nothing to tell us. I will try to speak to person but I’m not going to get any answers based on the above.

I think they figure the bridge is burned with those of us that have waited since July so why not put chips in the recent orders and keep those folks happy. We are the forgotten souls who have been written off by BMW. Passed over as collateral damage of the parts shortage. And if we don't like it six guys are waiting to take our cars.

Not that you guys are probably watching, but have any New Year builds (Week 1 on) been stuck in QC?
