As I still going through the nightmare with Remus with them sent me the wrong tips (2 weeks already) and now they won't ship out the replacement tips unless I put down $600 to ensure I will send them back the wrong tips - due to their mistake, plus I will have to pay again to replace the tips

Big mistake dealing with Remus with all the QC issues. Should have gone with other exhaust instead.

However, XPH been great helping me out with Remus.

Is there a way to just "rub" off the Remus logo on the tips? So, I don't have to deal with this mess?

Based on the labeling on the packing I got from Remus, with the logos at 12 o'clock, the left tips should be cut opening to the left slightly, and the right ones to the right. The part numbers on the packaging had 2 tips with "L" at the end and 2 with "R".

Mine should be getting installed at the end of the week, so no pics yet.
@mike@x-ph.com can you please help me to follow up with Remus?
It seemed they sent me both tips for the passenger side
From my installer "Yeah if those are the side angled tips, then you'll need a pair for the driver's side. The passenger will orient itself to center when we turn them, but the driver side will be facing the other direction. "

Thanks.

That wouldn't be slightly annoying at all. I suppose you could tell people it got that way after a few drifts…

Is that clip in sport +? Any drone?

I was looking to do the same setup, sport Remus and single mid-pipe!

Not sure, but I will do a first resonator delete only. Seems enough from the clip above. If not then I will install valve controller.

Besides the springs and the plugs not being in the box initially on delivery, just about all of the "QC issues" are all installation errors.

That's why it's extremely important to have an experienced reputable shop do your installation. They are more likely to understand the nuances of installation of aftermarket parts. It'll save you time, money and heart ache.

The one negative if any is you'll be spending more on gas because every tunnel or overpass you'll be punching the gas for that sweet exhaust music! 💣🧨

I LOVE my Remus exhaust. So many smiles per gallon.

**Just incase you wanted to know the midpipe fits in an M4 G2 !**

I have installed my Race version , the catback (from the primary downpipes ). The package didn't contain the springs from the valves . I made 2 springs and they work well untill they will send to me the original ones .
Drone noise is too much for me between 2000 and 3000 rpm. Can it be from a missalignment of the exhaust ? Or any sound leaks from any parts ? Anyone is experiencing the same issue ?
Other than that , the noise after 3000 rpm is lovely . The cracks and pops are amazing also .

I have the race with a PSI midpipe. I absolutely have the same experience with the drone. I'm considering changing the race for the sport. But, I've had it for while and I'm starting to get used to it. The wife HATES the drone tbough.

Yes, the drone in the 2s is certainly pretty bad!! But it sounds so good the rest of the time that I just live with it (and the complaints from the passenger seat have largely stopped after a few weeks )

For those complaining of drone, do you still have ASD enabled? It is much better if you code ASD off via Bimmercode.

Also, what settings are you driving in where you hear the drone? Comfort/Sport/Sport+?

I don't feel like I have much drone on my Race catback but perhaps I just chalk some of the drone up to being exhaust noise versus drone. 🤷🏻

I can confirm that is better with ASD off , but it's still there 60-70% comparing with it coded on . I will try to add some soundproofing for vibrations in the trunk and under the backseat . I'll keep you updated .

I find no difference with ASD on or off, and I hear it in all engine settings.

I'm under the impression that it's a known bug that turning off ASD via bimmercode still doesn't work as expected and keeps turning back on. Have they fixed the bug?

I noticed a difference when I did it to mine back in April. Not sure when it was noted to not be working.

You need to request the TestFlight version of Bimmercode. Just contact the app developer explaining what you're trying to do and they'll send you the link to the development version.
