My G83 is on a ship now heading towards Baltimore. Was stuck in QC for 2 months and probably be stuck in Baltimore VPC for another month or so to fix the RAM stop sale. At this point I call my sales guys ad Alexandria and requested a performance center delivery. What will another 2-3 weeks of waiting really do at this point.

Acutally, you may be surprise that production week will not change and will go into production. Alexandria dealer has been pretty straight about that part.
Once it goes into production, it's bit faster what you make thought (at least in my case - supposely have it finish by early September but by end of August, it was done ready to ship)

Good idea. I really wish I could have picked mine up at the PCD in South Carolina.

What was the delay there? Some people have claimed there cars were at the dealer 3-4 days later after arriving at port.

I am a week 5 build and feel that I’ve been lucky on timeline so far. BMW of Alexandria says it should be here early March. I’m assuming that means if it’s not stuck at the VPC.

after 1 1/2 month of wait at the port, got a call from the dealer saying that they received my car from the port but still missing module, thus they were not allow to release car until they fix it and have Stop sale removed from their system.
The port can hold so many cars and when it starts to overflow, they release cars to the dealer but the dealer will not be able to release until any missing parts are installed. they are able to release car legally until "stop sale" has been removed from their system.
dealer may have luck having the missing module in hand or waiting for shipment, it's a pure luck. I waiting 3 weeks at the dealer before my audio module came. Dealers have no control on as to when they will receive such.

I was speaking with my CA yesterday and he told me that 36 client cars arrived on Friday and their teams were busy prepping them for delivery, as I understand it that is the major delay for most people. I was fortunate enough to have almost no delay, car arrived at BMW of Alexandria yesterday at around 1pm and I pick it up at 9am.

My car just arrived at the Baltimore port today. Let see how long it stays there. I havent seen any M4 convertibles out in the wild yet so I will feel like Im driving something rare for a while.

The CA had an air of confidence around him lol. I spoke to Passport and they told me to jump on their waitlist too since they can refund the deposit of Alexandria gets there's first. Might do that

I’m a week 5 build and have finally moved to in transit. Boat is scheduled to reach bmore on 03/02. I have the RAM stop sale and they say it should take at least 2 weeks to get it out of VPC. It’s a little too close for comfort to my 90 day finance lock.

I called BMW of Richmond and the sales guy said I would be looking to get an allocation in 8 months to a year. That doesn't sound right...
