Let's be honest, a good portion of uber SUV are used to drop the kids at school. It's size for the sake of size. Canada is more sparsely populated with even greater distances and whilst we too have a big vehicle fleet, it is still considerably smaller than that in the USA.

Most popular vehicles in Australia are those monster trucks now too. Can’t stand them. Can’t see around them, take up two parking spaces, always crashing into others in parking lots and usually driven by people that think they are in a sports car.
