PLife runs his on 93?

He posted a 60-130 on previous page: 7.76sec with a manual JB4 map that is dialled down a little bit - so the car can definitely do more

I think his 100-200 is 6.50sec - you can see the times here: https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1855856

PLife have you shared manual JB4 map settings anywhere? I am contemplating getting a JB4 as remote unlock/custom tune is not available yet

Correct, I will be using E85, and the kit will allow the Jb4 to adjust the map based on the E85 mix automatically, so I don't have to keep changing maps

Yes up to e25 and i dont need to switch maps the car just goes faster and logs look good. Main thing ethanol does is give higher fuel trims and timing. The ecu just figures it out

Map 3? Or are you going to fine tune Map 6 on a dyno?

I was looking on instructions for this unless you are using an MPI kit

Will this provide full auto flex-fuel capabilities?
I have this on a couple other cars and while I usually run straight e-85 it's great to be able to fill up with 93 or better yet 100 octane every couple of weeks.
This really helps reduce some of the inevitable ethanol tar buildup.

No. That would be with with a full dme tune. With JB4, maps are set for 91-93, 93-E30 or E30-E40.

Thank you, I thought the JB4 had an auto-tuning map on previous generations.

That's what Mike is alluding to with his comment below, and I'm following/awaiting patiently for results and full review once he gets his "flex-fuel" set up going.

Correct, with the flex-fuel kit installed, the Jb4 should be able to adjust boost based on the E85 mix.

What kit is this? I have the Fuel-it G8x Flex Fuel kit and it doesn't alow you to put 0 to full E85 on a single map. Is this a new kit from Fuel-it or new software from JB4? This will be great if can be done safely without a flash tune

Same kit, but I need to test it and see what the parameters are.

Keep in mind, the parameter is also limited by the capacity of the fuel pump and fueling tables. That's why with a flash tune, you have more room with E85.

That's not the answer from my conversation with BMS (maybe I misunderstood )

Once it's time for the installation, I will have another long conversation with them about the kit and report back.

They posted up to E40 is supported and the flex fuel sensor can be used to set the JB4 to auto adjust from E0-E40, that is something they have in beta firmware that can be enabled. They said their flash map is required to be added to the JB4 to run more than E40 properly.

That's what I have been told as well, as long as the flex fuel kit is installed with the Jb4, I can run any mix up to E40 and the Jb4 should be able to auto-adjust power
