20% of M3/M4 sales in 2023 were 6MT
I don't know that I trust Motor1 much, but I wonder if the MT take rate on the M2 would be closer to the M3/4 if the M2 offered AWD with the auto. Still, if the MT take rate on the M3/4 is anywhere near 20%, that's still really solid considering the lack of a Competition MT.

I think so too a 20% take for MT G80x is a solid figure.

If you look at it in reverse, shows you what a huge draw the extra power and AWD have. In all likelihood, 3 out of every 5 people who would have chosen the manual did not, because they wanted the more advanced drivetrain. I know it made for an agonizing decision in my case, as I really wanted a G83. But the manual eventually won out. But my first choice would have been a 6MT Comp xDrive Convertible. |

The Cadillac manual transmission is very different than BMW. I wish AWD was offered with 6MT but I am happy with just RWD on my G80 and 6MT.
I also bet that 20% take rate on G80 is higher in USA than Europe. |

OG M2 was above 50% Not sure on M2 comp & CS. Following the 'Blackwing' sales, very few buyer's orders are an automatic, it seems that almost all dealer stock on extra allocations are automatics and they sit and fetch less money than a 6MT car. When you see a 6MT in available inventory, the car is generally already sold before it arrives at the dealer. I think if Cadillac only built customer orders.... it could be as high as 75-80% 6MT. |

That's a very easy bet to make, since in many European countries the take rate is 0. Difficult to buy what isn't offered. |

Anyway, my guess was 30%. Yours is 50%. I would guess the manual take rate would be similar (probably less) than the e60 M5 rate and not comparable to the M2. Just my guess. But as seis-speed posted, if the f80 was 30%, I wouldn’t think it would greater that that. |

Can't even buy the non-Competition MT in the UK - they sold so few of the manual, non-comp versions of the F80/F82 that they decided there was no market for it here.
