Build Week 27 Discussion

Figured it was time to start this up. Build starts 7/5 so if all goes well should see in NY by Mid August I am guessing

826M Wheels

Still waiting on my G80/ G82 allocation I’ll go with either at this point, supposedly I’m #1 on list - I might switch to a F90 if I can get that allocation first , will decide when I have a clearer idea of which would be delivered first .

Chances are if you didn't get it yesterday you may be in the next batch of allocations in early July. Many dealers got none in June. All depends on what they retailed in May. If they traded allocations before retailing them they got zero. My advice when searching for an allocation is to ask the dealer how many M3/4s they retailed the prior month. If it's a zero or low # that's not a good sign.

They delivered a G82 in March or April and a G80 in may . They currently have a third (G80) for sale that just arrived . Each was a comp.

Got on list in late April I believe. Got allocation yesterday at 3pm. Order accepted shortly after. Genius confirmed today week 27 build.

When I placed the order yesterday it said "Order Received". Today it updated to "Scheduled for Production" so I looks like 7/5 is a pretty firm date.

I wonder if our individual colors are preventing it from being confirmed right away in the tracker.

Questions, if my allocation is week 27 (still waiting on confirmation) does this mean the spec is final? Meaning will I still have a chance to change the color combo before 7/5?
2nd question, if change is allow, and I change it to an individual color, it would certain push out the build week right?

I am still 50/50 on BG with Fjord Blue (I put this in since I really would like to have my car ASAP rather the 2-12 weeks delay); then, I really like the Mexican Blue with Ivory White, just afraid I won't see the car until mid winter

So long as it is in 111 or 112 status you can still modify the order. Once it hits 150 status (production begins) no additional changes can be made.

Switching to an individual color will likely push out the production date if the color is approved.

Called genius now that my SA sent in the individual paint special order form. Genius now states "no confirmed build date yet"

So did I get bumped out of week 27?

Most likely. Individual colors add about 3-4 weeks to the order time. They need to schedule the car to be taken off the line for paint and then slotted back in for the rest to be built. It's not that it takes any longer to actually paint it from what others have indicated on their production timeline itself but I think it's more about fitting the custom color into the schedule overall.
