Melbourne red is my all time favorite, and if the G8x looked good in red to me (I don't think it does) I would be willing to pay the premium for it over Toronto.

I also would be willing to get Jerez over black sapphire, or telesto over dravit.

Yes there is always someone ordering a color that is similar to a standard color option, but that's part of the reason to go individual and make the car unique. That's their money.

517, I have seen TR in person. I think it's a great color, way better than the stock Sakhir orange they offered in the last generation.

I see that you have a rosso corsa car ordered. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder; if you say these colors are worlds apart then you're right - you can't be wrong because it's your opinion.

I will clarify myself here in that I think the rosso corsa color is beautiful (otherwise I don't think Ferrari would ever put it on their cars). The G82 with this color looks great too. However, for me, I don't see enough difference to justify $4500... that's all.

This is exactly right. As a previous owner of a Ferrari Red M3 it is a much different color. TR looks very orange. Anybody trying to say otherwise have not seen them in person. Ferrari Red is a lot more similar to melbourne red or imola red, I think that would be a fair comparison. But not with TR. It's almost like comparing Miami Blue and Laguna Seca, or IOM green and a BRG. They're different animals.

I've owned a TR X3MC as a daily driver for 30 months. I like the color fine. But 8 out of 10 people will say it is orange if you ask them (I do).

I have an M3Cx on order with Melbourne Red individual. As ridiculous as that is. But if I'm going to pay $100k for 3 series, I'm much happier walking in to the garage and seeing a "proper" BMW red. Obviously just my opinion, which is the whole point of individual.

BMW has slowly been neglecting reds, which I assume is driven by market demand.

If I had to get a red, I'd definitely consider Rossa Corsa or Imola Red. Toronto is just too orange for me but to each his own. I think this M4 looks great! Minus the wing

That is definitely not the first Rosso Corsa M4. There was one in the BMW individual promotional photos as well as this one from youtube in california

For me TR is just too orange and Rosso Corsa too close to TR to justify the extra $. I’ll soon be ordering my M4 in Imola Red with Tratufo. Love the heritage attaches to IR and also the fact that it is deep but still bright

My own M3C is TR and its quite a beguiling colour in that it seems to contain both Red and Orange hues depending on the light. Both of which look pretty stunning.

I learned pretty quickly that these cars cannot be judged by photos and videos. Theyve gotta be seen in the flesh.

My X3M is TR and I will give you the benefit of the doubt because some people are color blind but TR is NOT metallic orange. Not even remotely close. It's red with silver metallic that in very bright sunlight can give off an orange hue but it's very red and pops more than any other red out there.
