My entire point was the C2S and GTS aren't even in the same stratosphere in terms of price, so a comparison is somewhat silly. The base Carrera [with no options] is much closer to the price of a nearly fully optioned G8X, making it a better comparison.
Speaking of which, when the heck do we get to see some pics of your new ride????

Hah, they could run a 4 year old GTS vs M3, that would interesting.

It starts production tomorrow and exits the body shop next Friday. I'll post the pics Porsche sends once I receive them.

because people cant afford a second/third car. so the choice between getting a 911 or a m3 becomes obvious. nothing wrong with that, that's just how it is around here.

anyone that can afford it will certainly have a 911 and a M car of some kind

a M4 interior better than a P car? I doubt it. mine has the club leather which is better than the M3/4 leather and on par with M5 merino. perhaps I'd agree that the standard leather option in the 992 isn't as good as BMW but that's about it. The fit and finish is way better in the 992 overall

You just reiterated what I already clearly stated since I was referring to a 911 (992).

After watching the video, I walked away with a simple appreciation of G80 M3 with IOMG exterior. The car next to it isn't as interesting.

To be fair no one really wants to look at an M3 it's quite an eye sore. Lol I had to

Entertaining, but silly. You obviously need one of each.

911, M3, X3MC, Chevy Suburban. That's my stable. It's like babushka dolls.

I love my PorschMW Blend--- whats better, hell toss a coin. Both cars are tuned (piggy on M, Cobb on P) and both have exhaust. The day I drive the M, Im throughly impressed with the chassis response, dampening, steering, and happy with the sound especially considering the weight. The day I drive the GTS I am equally impressed with factors I connect with while the sound is just a bit better rocking a Kline exhaust.

The M (X drive) is faster from a dig and roll (sorry its tuned and its true over the tuned GTS).

Impressive for both cars.
Again, it would suffice to replace the RWD version with the AWD version in this comparison and the BMW would have won each segment of the competition.

Funny, I think that the new G8X is one of the most impressive M cars ever to look at, inside out! The amount of attention they create on the streets speaks for itself.
If I have to choose between the M4 and the 992 2S, I wouldn't even bother to look at the Porsche, because other than a good looking ass and nice proportions, the car is totally meh for me, inside out!

Agree to disagree I guess. I think the G8X gen is amazing in terms of performance and the interior is really a nice place to be. And I had a lot to say about it before I saw it but I've seen both in person and spent a good amount of time with the M4 and it's genuinely a very ugly car to me. But I would I agree I wouldn't spend that kind of cash on that Porsche

I'm overall not really a fan of either the G8x or 992 911.

Way prefer the F8x and 991. Idc about gadgets and technology. The technology in those cars are more than enough for my needs.

Either way, its always 911 > M

You should drive a 997.2 — no gadgets, still great!

The lack of modern-ness in the Porsche interior is actually quite refreshing. I'm delighted some people are holding true to their roots and not sticking an iPad on the Dash. It's a drivers car at the end of the day, B&O sound systems and infotainment should be well down the list of priorities for genuine buyers and that's why Porsche still sells regardless

We have a 997.1 4s convertible in the family! Love it, and love the hydraulic steering. Perfect blend between a classic and modern porsche IMO

Well, I paid MSRP for my car. $103k US and I just didn't see the value with the sky rocketing prices, of these cars (911s). I think they're waaay off market. No doubt a great value, but for me, it's a top spec, everything except carbon seats, M4. Or a base model 911, where I could drive it and constantly want every other option available, and I wouldn't enjoy the car. I would need a decently specd GTS to even be halfway satisfied. I don't like base model, anything. So, we'd still be talking about $150k or more the way I want it specd. And a loaded M4 with carbon ceramics, just has more value to me. Jump to a 4S and the prices are just mad.

I'm at $97k with my M4 with some MP aero and all the options but carbon seats and CCB's. I just don't see paying more for a base 911 with less options. Used 911 maybe, but that's not happening in this market. My aspirations to have a GT P-Car in the garage will have to wait until the car market bubble bursts, then maybe I can check that box!! If ever the 981 GT4 drops below $75k, I'm in.

The 992 is quite modern inside, that's why I like it……..and those wide hips.
