Forum can be a bit one-sided as not everyone experiences issues. Nearly all of our installs have been problem free with the exception of one (over 400mi) away who has switched cars since then. We're still installing AST problem free today, will be sharing a special one later this afternoon.
Interesting, never really heard of them until the G8x section. That being said, for the same price I'd think a majority would go with the household names like H&R, KW, and Eibach.

The picture gallery on the AST springs on your site do sit quite nice though.

Most brands had issues releasing early, not isolated to AST only. Those issues have been since rectified on all brands that are on the market. Unfortunately, things get rushed to market a bit too soon sometimes to satisfy an impatient market - especially with material (and even vehicle delays) related to COVID.

We're not the manufacturer, just merely stating opinion.

Oh you're 100% right. Manufacturers know how crucial it is to put out a product early to get the name and recognition out there...unfortunately that at times can lead to a rushed product.

Gotta say though, the gallery you have posted for the AST springs are sitting quite perfect. Looks like a 1 finger gap. Just right.

+1, when I was shopping for springs, I only had previous experience with Eibach which didn't have their product out yet for the G8x. It was between AST, H&R or MSS HAS kits. I wasn't a fan of paying more for a HAS kit knowing I would never fiddle with the height after I got it dialed in, and even KW didn't have theirs released at the time. MSS's original kit did not go low enough to justify the purchase and the only feedback people on the forums had about H&R were that they did not ride well and were bouncy (mostly stemming from experience with previous gen cars, not G8x). So at the time, the choice was easy for me to go with AST.

Honestly, now that the noise issue seems to be solved, they're perfect for my needs as a daily driver without having to pay thousands for a proper full coil-over solution.

I'm interested in these springs but can anyone confirm that all shipments going forward have the isolators in the correct location?

I'd ask if they were redesigned. My replacement looked different. No squeaks on those thankfully.

Quite some time ago (early April), unless someone has had one on the shelf for an abnormally long time.

All current AST kits we have are fresh inventory.

I sent photos and measurements of my isolators to AST before installing and got confirmation they were in the right spot…. yet mine still made noise. I would avoid AST even if they redesigned them. Such a waste of money.
