Kinda late to the party here but how does this sound with the valves closed? Quiet enough?

ha very late indeed... I sold this car more than 2 years ago.

IIRC (my current M3 has a full setup) the car was still pretty quiet with the valves closed. Sport Plus (engine setting) makes a big difference too. I dont think there was a noise issue with this setup and the valves shut.

In my opinion rasp is aggressive and raw, and not to mention S55 and S58 both when driven extremely hard and warmed up as intended have 0 rasp even straight piped.

It seems like everyone commutes their 15 minutes to work doing 30 mph and complains about "rasp".

Ya no fuck, these cars don't sound good until really opened up.

Just my opinion, but i feel the B58, N55 etc all sound muffled
I can't agree more. I think my stock G82 sound so good even with the windows up on track.
