I'd wager it's not too bad in person, who knows what the actual sound is like with the microphones. I have the mid pipe and it's not bad at all, pretty tame unless you really open it up.

The rear suitcase seems to do a very good job
It's 127 decibels that tells you precisely how loud it is …. That is frankly unlivable and would prevent you from going to any racetrack I'm aware of as well.

Sounds excellent from the driver’s seat, too.

Fantastic. Already quite impressive with the stock muffler - hoping for even more pops and bangs and volume when the valves are open.

Is there an ETA?

I think the aftermarket rear section with the midpipe along with stock downpipes is what most people will gravitate towards as the vehicle will still be emissions compliant but have tons of sound and character.

I believe they will be doing some testing on the first prototype in the coming weeks so I'd imagine probably a month till they're available.

That white G82 with just a single midpipe sounds amazing too!..... This F97 is still the meanest S58 I've ever heard though:

I daily the car in efficient mode(valves closed). Quiet in cabin and outside just slightly louder than stock. It really is a very versatile setup. Quiet when you want it and racecar loud in Sport+

Seems to be the only setup that meaningfully changes the way this car sounds (versus making the existing sound louder). Sounds like a lot of fun, and I believe this setup will go a long way towards raising the baseline thrill level of the G8x driving experience.
Wow just wow. It's too loud but the tone and the pops and the exhaust between shifts. I have never wanted a G80 so bad. Congrats G80_Soom

Hearing both BMW six and R35 GTR sounds, and that’s a compliment, very mean. I like that a lot.

Sounds good . . .

Still awaiting someone to do muffler delete . . . e.g., AWE to come out with their Track exhaust.

$1890 mid-pipe + $995 DP = $2885 MSRP

I have a discount code for Valvetronic and Euroklasse(where I got the DP) which will cut around $180 off the total for anyone interested Feel free to DM me.

That's not so bad. I'm assuming the mid-pipes are the flapped ones?

Stock muffler??????

By a long shot. Road America is 103db and the highest I think I've seen is 105. I think those are measured somewhere between 50 and 75ft but still.

I do like the in-car sound, especially on track. Same tone but turned down 20% would be awesome.

And here I thought my catless DPs and MPerformance exhaust was loud on the F80.

I already get squirrely looks from my neighbors, this would have them in pitchforks!

Sounds exactly like the good old days of the Japanese supercars of the day, 2JZ That came on a Toyota supra, and RB's that came on the Nissan skyline.
This right here is the best modification for this car! car sounds amazing.

Can you share the underneath picture of the car? Would love to see the exhaust design…
