Turns out I had a warped disc for sure. Currently the engagement point is super low, like everyone else has reported. So, I have faith the engagement WILL improve as I drive it.

Hopefully anyone that's been waiting to install theirs can breathe a little easier now that I've gone through the headache and the expense for you.
Wow! Congrats that it finally is coming together.

Can't wait to hear how it breaks in and maybe words of advice to folks going down the same road with the same company.

I’ll definitely report back after some miles.

As for advice? What can I say besides throw out on low and if it doesn’t shift into 1st with the engine on: don’t drop trans 3 times. You have a warped disc and need replacement lol.

But luckily it seems like I’m the first case. So don’t stress it.

Sorry for the silence. Trans is back out of the car. I wanted to show everyone this friction disc that came with the first set. Notice the manufacturer stamp hasn’t worn at all. This should’ve been gone in the first couple of engagements in my opinion. This leads me to believe it wasn’t making contact. Virtually no wear.

Maybe it was warped after all and this new set will work out just peachy.

That’s organic, so you have org/sin and upgraded pressure plate?

How does a brand new clutch disk get warped? Never heard of that before. I would imagine this is a QC issue

Glad things worked out well for you, and yes - the low engagement point goes away as the clutch breaks in after about 500-600 miles. Taking off the BMS clutch stop helped tremendously too.

Hey everyone!

This will be my last update to my clutch saga.

I removed the white grommet clutch stop and everything feels like normal. Engagement point is gradually improving and all gears are accessible.

If you’re on the fence, rest easy. Performance plate works. Definitely remove that grommet though if you already have a PTB clutch and are still getting notchy shifts.

Pics for attention.

Sorry if I missed it - what type of tuning are you running at this point, or hope to?

Currently just running BM3 OTS maps with flex fuel. I was waiting to get my clutch sorted before custom tuning and eventually upgrading turbos, etc.

I’m also waiting for PURE to announce their 6MT builds.

What do you guys think about this? Read their reasoning for creating the kit.

Edit: I ordered it. I’ll report back after it arrives.

I agree. If it doesn’t work, at the minimum I got rid of some plastic that’ll wear from beating the shit out of the pedal lol.

Did you take the whole pedal assembly out? And what issues did this clear up

Excessive force shifting into reverse and first, gear lockout during fast shifts, and notchy shifts if not shifted perfectly.

It was installed with the pedal assembly still in the car. Be patient. It’s doable.

So it’s 2 pins which hold the master in place and the third one is the top of the pedal?

Two pins on the master, one pin that holds master to the pedal, and the main pin in the pivot point of the pedal. Hardest part is getting the poopy plastic pins out. Rest of the stuff goes together <5 minutes.

Rogue is working on a short throw clutch pedal thats all metal and replaces all the pins as well if you’d rather wait on that to finish development.
