50% tint on windshield and 35% windows anyone

Could anyone share their setup with 50% tint on the windshield and 35% on the windows, or any other setup? I have a Kyalamy orange interior with bucket seats that looks nice without the tint, but I also want privacy and heat prevention. If anyone has this setup and photos, it would be greatly appreciated.

I have the exact same tint setup, and interior color. Also wanted the Kyalami orange to shine through a bit. Varies by angle/time of day, but I’m happy with the outcome! Made a video as well, so you can see more angles

That’s amazing. The video will definitely give me a better idea of how it looks from a different angle. Thanks for sharing!

I tend to do 80 windshield / 20 side windows / 5 back windows.

The 80 windshield is great as it does the job of blocking heat but doesn’t really look like you have front tint from the inside to not impede view especially at night. But it’s dark enough to make it hard to see in from the outside. The 20 side windows is dark to give you privacy but still able to see out at night when watching cross traffic. And 5 in the back is fine as you don’t really need to see out of it too much at night but can still easily see headlights and it doesn’t blind you.

I did 50% front and 20% on the side. During the day and night if you get close you can see the red seats through the windshield. Now the sides during the day you can see an outline, and at night people tell me they can’t even see who’s inside

Edit: I know this isn’t what you asked for but it’s close

I'm running 50, 15. I don't have any complaints. It's only dark when driving on roads without any street lights (back country).

Does tinting windshield affect the heads up display at all?

No, the heads up display looks perfectly fine, even better imo since it's being projected to a slightly darker background and contrasts more

No, and in most cases it makes it easier to see since you have more contrast against the slightly darker tint.

That’s great to hear.

Any issues with wearing polarized sunglasses? Or do you not really need sunglasses with say a 70% windshield

HUD is not as clear/vibrant with polarized sunglasses.
I only wear them if it's really sunny, otherwise get by most days without.

I have 35% windshield and 20% everything else. No issues seeing at night I almost forget the windshield is tinted and this is the darkest I’ve ever gone. Previous car was 45%

Looks mean, but MAN that is dark. I would not be able to drive that at night around my area (for one I'd probably be pulled over by the po po).

It does look amazing! I can’t see great at night now with no tint on my windshield. I suspect tint would not improve that😉

I don’t often drive at night anymore so my big concern would be getting pulled over for it. M3rray must either be a LEO, know all the LEO’s in his area, or lives in a very rural location with no police😂 Even with a prescription allowing tint on the windshield, I just would not want to deal with the hassle of getting pulled over all the time.

35% all around including windshield. No issues with night time driving, and in the sun you can still see my tartufo seats.

I’m planning on doing 45 all around with 70 on the windshield.

50 percent windshield is honestly pretty dark, especially when raining at night.

What brand tint are folks going with? I’ve been pretty happy with Llumar IRX for last few cars. No haze with low sun angles etc. My dealer uses a well known installer in town who is using Suntek ceramic. Not sure I want to try a new type, but it would be nice to have it done prior to delivery.

My installer used Xpel. On previous cars, I've used Llumar ATR and Huper Optik Ceramic. No complaints about any of these products--installers were also very skilled.
