Most of the time the cops will be a little forgiving an knock it down to under criminal levels, but I have a feeling most of them would not be so willing if it was 46MPH over the posted limit!
The cop new what I did. Two cars in both lanes doing 30 in a 45. They were racing at 30 for miles. When an additional lane opened I floored my X3MC to get around them. Cops lights came on and I put my flashers on and pulled over right away. He said he saw what happened and while he understood my frustration I got a lecture then got the ticket.

I have a pretty good lawyer. After this happened in Sept of 22 my lawyer said to plead not guilty and ask for a jury trial. The jury selection was yesterday and the State Trooper did not show and the judge asked what they lawyer wanted and said no points, no fine and a 4 hour defensive drivers course since I’ve not had a ticket in 15 years. The judge accepted it and yesterday the court called me to say I could come pickup the fine I paid as a “bond”.

I have one more I got in GA for 21 over in a 70 in March of 23. My lawyer said it might be 2025 before my case comes up.

Luckily my employer offers Hyatt Legal services as part of my benefits package. Costs me about 25 per month so well worth it. They cover pretty much everything from real estate stuff and traffic stuff. The only thing they won’t cover is DUI.

a side note: it may not be the kind of change we all want, but i verified that on MY 2024 G80 CS, the center console valve control button definitely makes my idling stock exhaust sound different. i mention this because people say the center console button doesnt change their exhaust sound at all.
In the future (and also for anyone else reading this): If you remove one of the back wheels (I'm assuming you used the left box area), and remove the fender liner (a bunch of passthrough bolts), you get very easy access to the inside of that box.

That GA one is gonna be tough. 21 over in a 70 is an automatic super speeder ticket (over 84 or 20+ over) which is an immediate $200 tack-on of any citation. They're also notoriously hard to get rid of/plea down. Hopefully your lawyer is good enough and can help you out here.

Honestly don’t care about the $$. I know what I did. Just the points I worry about. My lawyer said since my record is clean she thinks she can get me just an 8 hour defense driving course. What sucks is she says I will most likely need to appear and it’s 6 hours away. Not worried about it. Is what it is.

NGL, it does look nice, but is it actually as structurally strong as the CSL brace since they didn’t do anything with their boxed end sections on the sides. Looks like they basically concentrated on the same 3 points of the stock design of a regular brace as opposed to an exact structural copy of the CSL, which is functionally stiffer due to the new multipoint layout. How does it feel on those front side sections? Is it flimsy? Impossible to tell if it’s actually all aluminum and carbon wrapped or what. Can you tell in person?

I do not at the moment because it’s a proposed change, but just the front inner corners of the shields need to be taped and trimmed down to follow the same lines as the side (outer) rails of the shields. I’m trying to get Arma to build some and offer the different config for CSL/CS customers, but they’re being extremely unreceptive to direct or indirect communications on the matter. It shouldn’t be that big a deal for them to make two versions of the stupid things.

They definitely need to make that revision and a couple of other small ones for CSL/CS people. Hell, the other big intake company didn’t have an issue revising their intakes to make this happen.

Probably but I couldn’t find anything that was a guarantee fit or that I wouldn’t have to cut 3M tape perfectly in the shape of.
From what I found IND is the only ones that sell a front grill specific badge.

After thinking and talking about it for a few months, the yellow DRLs happened. Big fan on how they look against the Dravit.

Have had my G82 for exactly 2 weeks now and boy we’ve done a lot.

✅ Yellow DRLs
✅ CSL Tails
✅ Modified my G87 Valvetronic Exhaust to fit the G82
✅ Fatboy Catless Downpipe
✅ Carbon mirrors, grill, splitter, side skirt

Now I get it when people say this is an addiction.

Next up: Adro swan neck (if my girlfriend doesn’t kill me first)

You can (carefully) remove these pieces (3 separate pieces) from your stock grill and reuse them on your new grill. If the adhesive gets screwed up in the process, 3M makes double sided tape to fit. I would bet that the factory tape is also 3M.

Agree! Shouldn't be much to make some tweaks and sell as a CSL / CS option
