Horizon Highway made it to Galveston Port today!!

Anyone else on this ship too? I watched it come into port today. Was pretty cool. Now for it to make it to Fort Worth!

How long was it from production date to arriving at port?

July 17th was the day I got the allocation and I was scheduled for Production that same day. Production Began August 2nd. So 89 days from July 17th to today.

Also, I was part of the 2 week vacation which the plant was shut down for.

I was really hoping to be on this ship but my car is still stuck at port, hoping it gets on the next boat which leaves in 3 days..ahh this waiting is painful

Ya I think that's Drive Green Highway due 11/2 at Galveston. Almost here bud! Hang in there.

Mine just went into production early this past week. I am hoping I am lucky and the car arrived in December. Fingers crossed.

Hey Guys my CA just let me know a M3 Comp became available last night. Alpine White on Fiona Red. $78,290 MSRP. They are a MSRP dealer, there may be a protection package add on if they have installed it already. it was $990 on my X3. If it's not on the car yet you can request that it isn't added.

Did you take delivery yet? I was on the same boat. I've been in At The Port status since the 15th. Estimated dealer delivery was the 21st, but that came and went. The dealer is out of the loop on delivery too, so it seems like we are just in the "hurry up and wait" phase now haha. Hoping for an update soon

Geez. That's wild. I had 2 friends on it too and one gets theirs today, the other still no date yet, and he was ordered before me. I guess the trucking company is the delay now? I was able to see the port via webcam and all the cars, and there are not a lot left there now.

But yes, got mine last Thursday! I asked my CA on Wednesday and he was like "waiting on a truck" couple hours later, called and said it was at dealer. Hope you get yours soon!

Nice! I just spoke with Genius and they said it has been released to the carrier for pickup and is estimated to deliver tomorrow, but that would be a galveston to OKC trip on one day, so I kind of doubt that. We will see.

Yours looks great. Mine is dravit as well, but with the 825m bi-color wheels. This will be my first BMW, I'm very excited

That's awesome man!! Hey, on the positive side, you should have it this week! Definitely post up a bunch of pictures once you get it. At 825s are really nice, and you don't see them a whole lot.

Nice! My M4 was on this ship and is still sitting at the port. It was "released to the carrier" on Wednesday last week, and my CA said it would be ready to pickup last Saturday. As of yesterday morning, it's still sitting in Galveston waiting on a truck.

Delivery to BMW of Plano for me, so not too far from Ft Worth. I really don't understand how BMW's logistics system works after going through this order/build/wait/delivery process. You would think they would want to get their money for a car as quickly as possible lol.

I get it man. But everything nowadays has no rhyme or reason. lol. And I think that communication is just difficult because nothing goes as planned and dealers are somewhat in the dark too. It sucks. Hopefully it makes a truck soon and you'll have it. I figured the getting on a boat and truck would be my longest delays other than allocation, and I was lucky. My buddy just got his yesterday, other is still waiting. Ah, ya not too far at all!

Hey just placed an order at BMW in Plano. But don’t have an allocation yet. They don’t take deposit money at Sewell so should I shop around for an available allocation? They’re telling me I won’t see my car for a year! Crazy or expected?

M3 or M4? i placed an order with them and ended up going elsewhere I was on the waitlist for 8 months before they got me an allocation so be ready to wait. i found a dealer in south texas and got an instant allocation. my car was delivered to me from the southern texas dealer before Plano ever got me an allocation 😂

Check out BMW of Arlington. It took me about a month to get an allocation when everyone else was quoting 12-18months

took me about 10 days i believe to pick it up from the dealership. I'd say no more than 2 weeks.

I am going to start being on the lookout for another AR in the area haha

Hey everyone, my M3 I ordered is now available. I ended up picking up a different M3 instead. Below is the build. If you are interested it’s currently at the port (Europe Side) and will likely be here before EOY. The car is for sale through BMW of South Austin. They will be offering it at MSRP.
