Then you shouldn’t feel what you’re feeling unless it’s hill hold or something along those lines disengaging. There “could” be a safety layer where the can doesn’t actually disengage the parking brake you release it until you actually try to move in gear, but that would be the only reason you’d still feel the brake is still engaged. Along as you hear the PB servo back off when you release it, the screw within the piston has released the clamping force of the rear caliper. Maybe listen for it next time you get in.

I have the same thing with my M4 (750miles give or take). I don't drive it in the rain because I still have the Pirelli's on the car, and she is garaged. Auto Hold is not on so I figured it's just one of the quirks of an M car. |

We have some reasonably cold weather in the UK right now and for the most part mine is garaged so its never iced up. But when its been left for a few days in this weather I've noticed it is a bit more jerky when I set off, and its obvious all the fluids are cold. Its the same with every car I've had really but with the M4 I notice it a bit more. Heater warms up quick though so after a few minutes all is good. I just drive really conservatively with low RPM for the first few milles.

I convinced the dealer to change the rear differential fluid. So far I think that has resolved all of my clunking noises. The car has about 30k miles on it.

other than waiting a full 30 minutes for oil to warm up, it's great

I start it in my heated garage, 55F, wait 10 seconds, reverse and go.
I dont rev higher than 3k until we have driven a bit but I don’t let it sit for minutes to warm up. Also - handled the insane blizzard in SE Sask like a champ. |

Pirellis are fine in the rain. Drive all the time in uk in the rain. Only thing you need to watch on pzero and ps4 is lower aquaplaning speed of high performance tyres. |

Three winters in for 2022, delivered Thanksgiving weekend 2021, and no weather related issues. In fact no issues at all.
