Yeah, with BMW warranty 🤷‍♂️
Who gives a fuck if it’s been launched a million times 🤷‍♂️

Never had one issue with it in a year and 12000 miles

I had an original allocation for one, even after the great reviews, i passed on it cause i thought "i won't want to use a 4 door exec sedan as my fun car".

Honestly, the car is even better than the hype. It feels so light and fast, and hyper focused. The only type of car that i'd want over it would be a modern super car (like an Artura, MC20, 296). Its the pinnacle of normal sports and performance cars.

I almost ordered a 911T for the same price i bought my M5 CS for, and its almost laughable how big of a mistake that would have been after driving the M5 CS.

I wouldn't care that it was launched, as long as you don't run into that problem where people claim BMW limits performance after a certain number of launches.

Your car is the exact car that won EVO Car of the year, i literally have a picture of your exact car on my wall. All time dream car.

I hear ye and I have an email from Park Lane saying everything would always be honoured under warranty.

Best you have a pic of my car on the wall and not the owner that’s for sure 🤣

its also a very limited car in the UK. Chris Harris has one, there is the remaining FDG UK press car that Evo is using now as the long termer, and then probably 22 or so other cars.

The M5CS makes more sense to me vs the M3CS, the weight difference is minimal and you get the V8 and guessing probably even more substantial tuning/investment from BMW in the driving dynamics.

Id rather enjoy my basic lowly 6mt, I don't feel like spending 60k cad more for the M3CS is giving me 50% more car. The M5CS At 169k cad (before the luxury tax came in) it was totally worth it. More than the CSL.

I think there is a lot that can be said for taking an M3 6 spd and tuning it (I’m thinking what MachinesWithSouls has done).

You get a RWD car, with usability, less weight, but you also max it to be CSL-ish.

I kind of wish the CSL had come with a manual option, but that’s the next best thing.

I think the ZF8 fits the powerful V8 nature in the M5 but ruins a bit of the high strung nature of the twin turbo inline six, the S58 deserves a DCT/PDK or by default a 6MT.

I was contemplating a CS until I did the Fall Line monoball conversion and KW V3’s - I am not interested in the CS at all anymore. BMW’s 6MT leaves plenty to be desired, but it’ll always be more fun than any automatic.

And per the M5CS, we have access to one and we will be doing a review shortly to determine their relationship. We’re thinking this is more track focused of course, but more curious about the steering comparison. As far as the shifts go, we didn’t mention but it has the adjustable shifting with the Drivelogic system but we didn’t care much to play with that since the other drive modes automatically set that. Also we were constantly short shifting under load because it’s in break in. That was the issue. No transmission loves that. Shifting under lower load or at higher rpm’s like you would want to is entirely different. Much faster and smoother. Also in comfort modes the auto shifting was smooth and ideal.
Hi Griffin, thank you for making such a wonderful video. You are the first on the planet to do a full drive review. So great.

I got Millway monoballs on the shelf and MPerf HAS incoming from Germany, impatient to try it out !

I think the CS is very popular because the same crowd that are already buying fully loaded Xdrive Comps see it as another echelon to gravitate to.

The CSL was much more geared towards us but I couldn't reason myself not to think I would be better served with a GT4 or something similar...

It did. It is called the 3.0 CSL. But it costs $750,000 and it is sold out.

Joking aside I do agree with you in terms of the “regular” M4 CSL.

Probably never going to happen, but is there any way to make an S55 sound like an S58?

I've driven an M3 Comp Xdrive and it sounded so damn good, just like this M3. The sound of the S55 pales in comparison.

I am very close to pulling the trigger on a new Giulia Quad in Verde Montreal and while I love the G80, I still think the QV is the best driver's car as it was over the F8x too at inception. Maybe not ultimately as quick as the xdrive car but it delivers on emotion and character.

Maybe modding the car is the right direction but I always have felt that mods on BMWs is a never ending game in that you upgrade and have to do the second thing because of the first upgrade and so on and so forth.

I want to like the CS since I have one coming, but just having a hard time thinking it's going to excite me. On top of that, it is worth trading in my G80 and then another 50K on top?
