In terms of real numbers, call any large bmw dealership and you’ll realize the wait list for M3 orders is much longer than for M4 orders.
As stated by Cane, historically coupe version outsells sedan version and this has been recorded plenty of times. Just because its hard to get a G80 allocation, it doesnt mean that it outsells the G82. There isnt any real time data on G8x platform, but BMW has been historically making more coupes than the sedans. Below threads have additional information about previous generations.

My25 is an interesting model year

So regular m3 and m4 x drive are gong to be 525HP

Is CS staying at 543 HP. OR Are they upping it as well?

I had all the data for E9X, F8X, and G8X data for the UK from 2022 in my post history from like 15-16 months ago, but it only goes back to December of 2022, so it's all gone. But the data is out there, and the numbers don't lie. Don't know why BMW would all of a sudden start making a bunch more M3 than M4 when their data would show more M4 (and E92) produced/sold. Just because your "eyes" say you see more M3 doesn't make it so.

- Carbon fiber instead of gloss black plastic in many places (like the air vent covers)
What is laser tail lights?

That's the one! I guess they forgot about M high performance lol, I don't think I've ever seen a model between M performance (M340i, M440i etc.) and the M car.

Too much M, semantic satiation...what does M even mean any more lol

EDIT: never mind, M high performance = regular M car. I'm dumb.

CS is going to tank in value. CSL will continue to rise for sure. Just look at the previous gen CS. You can't give those away.

The data is literally a dozen posts above yours: G80 vs G82/G83 is 1:1.

Where is your “data” I went back to the start of page 2 and saw nothing that acts as “data”, only people proclaiming the M3 sell better because the wait lists are longer (patently false).

Production numbers as of early May:

G80: 25K
G82: 24K
G83: 7K

(My reply about "1:1" was when I looked at the US market only at first, these numbers are for the whole world so the ratio is a bit different.)

On ratio of demand for the M3 and M4. The M3 is way more in demand in its class.

Yes, the M4 MAY sell more, which I don’t really believe…

But even if BMW produce way less M3’s, they’re still more in demand on a ratio basis. M3’s also hold their value way better than M4’s.

M3’s are more appreciated in its asset class compared to an M4. That’s just a fact.

So this is the first generation where sedans are outselling coupes (excluding the convertibles).
