Hey brother Im with ya but as soon as Im in my RWD cars- I always get fucked over and line up against an AWD machine like a Model 3 P or a Model SP100D.... yes no engine and souless but i hate my odds.

So fuck it- I got this just to combat such situations. Not for anything else; not to be green, not to save gas, not to care about quality, not to care about tech... I just want to fuck people up and drive the fastest golf cart made

Drove my brothers yesterday. It's a total
misconception that those things run out of "gas" by 80. It was still pulling just as hard well over 100 plus there's no chance of driver error like being caught between gears.

most draggys have it faster from 100-150 than 60 to 100--- what a fucking novelty car!!

the misconception is on the Model S and others where the rpm's drop after 10k (hp gone) while the Plaid stays static up to 20k.

Brooks ran both is SF90 and Plaid--- nice results for STOCK cars:

Hard to convey sarcasm through the net. Obviously I've heard of it if I knew roughly the range of what their 60-130 is lol. I was just curious what yours personally was. I've seen 4.6-4.9.

I just got mine, it will probably be a high 4 low 5 street car at 90% SOC.

Brooks has some on the track and then his street was 4.6X but he has shown that even the SOC below 50 the car still rockets around town.

I personally dont expect my car to run those times but that is more due to conditions (SOC) and driver as the car is a true NON ICE production car so the deviations would be more along the lines of what I just mentioned.

Even low 5's with a bad soc is stellar in the real world.

My C7 took most cars on the street. Never ran into a Hell Cat or Z06. The only time I had an issue was with some AMG cars, and an Audi, one time. Dont know what Audi, it was an older S6 or something. Sounded like it had some mods. I ran into a C7 in Mexico, the other day, and it was no contest. He may have thought he was going to eventually catch me, but with M Drivers, it wasnt going to happen. Between watching the rear view, and checking the overpass in front of me for county mounties, I wasnt looking at the gauges. 16.7 comes up pretty fast.

Whenever i'm in my C7Z, everyone wants to race. Everyone. And that means, people in SUV's, prius's, pickup trucks (those are the WORST kind by me), and a lot of mustang/BMW M guys. Even at this point, I would eventually catch a MS Plaid. Limited to the 160s, right now. But from everyone that Ive seen driving one, the brakes are absolute trash. A car of this caliber, should automatically come with 16-17" Carbon Ceramics.

As an owner, they are trash but every one keeps using track tests to create that issue. Who the fuck tracks a 5000 lb car LOL. I dont light foot my car but fuck; I aint stupid either- it needs help but only really on a track. So again of course it needs better brakes but in what environment? The one where it really should never be in

Its physics as well since the car that gets to that speed that fast and has so much heft is obviously going to burn shit brakes. In reality the brakes on my Plaid could easily handle a G80 car and its hp plus weight in the real world.

Im still laughing at why people want to track a Plaid. From everyone that owns one, the results are brilliant and now there is one in the 8's and thats at a strip. Lets be clear that I have quite a few nice ICE cars but I had to get this car for the novelty. And I frankly love the way it rips the world apart. Anyone who gets to 160 plus (software limited) without the power the Plaid has-- has a long haul.

Oh this is interesting as the power really allows the car to catch up in the straights. Yet again a track test with a car that pushes 49XX lbs.

Haha I couldn't agree more. I can't wait to own this car. This car is a monster from a dig, but by no means is it beating a stock hellcat from a roll. From a dig, I totally get it. From a roll stock hellcats pull low 8s from 60-130, last time I check no stock g8x is coming close to that.

I expect to lose a lot of races until this car is modded. The potential tuning for this platform is exciting though.

Stock 60-130 pulls is not going to change much. It's been mid 9s to high 9s. Hellcats are low 8s. There's no denying which car pulls harder. There's even videos of it, it needs jb4 just to hang with a stock hellcat. Not being bias. Just facts.
That's not true dude, I personally have experienced the fact that this car is necks with a hellcat. And crawls away with a Racechip.

I'm not calling you a liar. I'm just telling you what the stats say. Stats don't lie, there are a lot of real world factors. You wouldn't believe how many Hellcat owners race in auto mode (just punching it) instead of downshift in the right gear for the right speed, hellcats are notorious for spinning, you think bmw are tail happy? try a hellcat, you can break lose from an 80 roll if temps are too cool (too much torque if it's such a thing)

I can only speak from experience from owning a hellcat and what I've done with it. I don't currently own the M3 but will soon if BMW doesn't take forever. All the runs I see on this forum from a 60-130 pull from this platform is 9-9.5s. Hellcats are low 8s…what is there to say?

To clarify I'm talking about roll racing at a very traditional speed (60 rolls) I'm not talking dig, but a 60-130 pulls shows clearly which car has more pull (power).

You wouldn't believe how many Hellcat owners race in auto mode (just punching it) instead of downshift in the right gear for the right speed, hellcats are notorious for spinning, you think bmw are tail happy? try a hellcat, you can break lose from an 80 roll if temps are too cool (too much torque if it's such a thing)

I can only speak from experience from owning a hellcat and what I've done with it. I don't currently own the M3 but will soon if BMW doesn't take forever. All the runs I see on this forum from a 60-130 pull from this platform is 9-9.5s. Hellcats are low 8s…what is there to say?

To clarify I'm talking about roll racing at a very traditional speed (60 rolls) I'm not talking dig, but a 60-130 pulls shows clearly which car has more pull (power).
Yeah 2 different 60 rolls with a dude who looked like he was serious. It was widebody too and he was definitely in the power ban before we hit(3 honks).

Granted maybe his tires were bald and having all his windows down may have caused more drag.

All I can say is the look on his face was one that I'll remember forever.

After the 2nd pull he yelled to me "damn! That things fast!"

Haha I couldn't agree more. I can't wait to own this car. This car is a monster from a dig, but by no means is it beating a stock hellcat from a roll. From a dig, I totally get it. From a roll stock hellcats pull low 8s from 60-130, last time I check no stock g8x is coming close to that.

I expect to lose a lot of races until this car is modded. The potential tuning for this platform is exciting though.

Stock 60-130 pulls is not going to change much. It's been mid 9s to high 9s. Hellcats are low 8s. There's no denying which car pulls harder. There's even videos of it, it needs jb4 just to hang with a stock hellcat. Not being bias. Just facts.
That's not true dude, I personally have experienced the fact that this car is necks with a hellcat. And crawls away with a Racechip.

It seems like this is the second time I heard a similar story from another member. I noticed both times it was mentioned that it was a widebody. I will be completely honest, I know nothing regarding the widebody when it comes to weight. It might be heavier? He also mentioned his buddy's widebody ran high 8s in the 60-130. Which would create a very equal race.

Regardless my hope the M3 is even a better platform to mod than the hellcat. I don't have the hellcat anymore because I traded it in the M3 lol.

Its physics as well since the car that gets to that speed that fast and has so much heft is obviously going to burn shit brakes. In reality the brakes on my Plaid could easily handle a G80 car and its hp plus weight in the real world.

Im still laughing at why people want to track a Plaid. From everyone that owns one, the results are brilliant and now there is one in the 8's and thats at a strip. Lets be clear that I have quite a few nice ICE cars but I had to get this car for the novelty. And I frankly love the way it rips the world apart. Anyone who gets to 160 plus (software limited) without the power the Plaid has-- has a long haul.

Oh this is interesting as the power really allows the car to catch up in the straights. Yet again a track test with a car that pushes 49XX lbs.
Because Im stupid enough to go 200 in Mexico, if the car is capable. And it accelerates to way too fast for the brakes it has. If you cant come down in the 1/4 from 150ish, Id be scared to drive it, anywhere near those speeds, anywhere else.
