Winter setup installed
I'm here in NYC and weather is breaking fast! Research states once weather drops below 45 degrees it's time to swap out the performance tire
Vredestein Tires 275/30/20 all around With MSW TYPE 50 rims (was all I can find due to waiting too long, I ordered these 2nd week of October) just mounted them today and I must say I am pleasantly surprised, I love the setup |

Won't lie I thought 20s would be a bit much Just drove 70 miles today, and the ride was amazing and balanced Remember I'm coming from the traditional 19s front and 20s in rear The 20s all around is a great balanced ride |

Bold of you to go bigger and wider for winter, looks beautiful!
I decided against a smaller, narrower, square setup after many years of doing it because I was tired of my car looking uglier (and the squishy ride). |

I'm from California but moving to a new city with actual winter. Is it necessary to get winter tires? No snow where I'm going but it does drop below 45

Top-tier winter tires' compounds remain soft in cold, even extremely cold, temperatures -- in addition to a specialized tread pattern (lots of grooves, thousands of sipes to cut through snow and wick away water). All-seasons are the halfway house of tires: their compounds work fine in all temperatures, and they have enough grooves to wick away water. So if you're moving to somewhere in the Pacific Northwest, they'd be a great compromise. |

OP, what was your out the door price for the set? It looks great. I'm considering ordering up a set, and trying to get a handle on numbers. My dealer can get me the m589 set, but they're about 10% above what shopbmwusa used to list the set for (currently not listed). Thanks!

Looks great! Been waiting to see them as I have the exact same setup sitting in my garage that’s been waiting for my TBII M4Cx to put them on. Should have it this week. My OTD price for the setup was $2600.

Is the car a daily? If so, i would recommend at least all seasons. If you have a secondary car, there's no need. All depends on how you use the car.

Probably too late to get a winter setup going for me. Next winter i'll hook up the M3 lol. The seller on ebay said it'll take 3-4 weeks to manufacture the wheels since +20 are custom offsets. Since they do any offsets. And the size tires i want to put on those wheels are backordered until 1-2-22 lol. I'll use my SUV for the harsher wintry conditions. M3 comes out when the roads are plowed and dry |

I might be wrong, but my understanding is that going with winter tires that wide is not a good thing for snow. Even though you have winter tires, since they are so wide, it's not going to yield great results in the snow. Winter tires are usually more narrow for better traction.

I bought the oem winter setup and they come with 275/35/19. It does sound a bit wide, but BMW engineers must know something I don't. I'll take their word on it .

I just put my tires on my stock wheels today as well. Same sizes as stock, same brand, but I'm kind of rubbing if I hit a dip or if I have a passenger… I'm on KW with 12mm all around. Wondering if I should remove the spacers or adjust the KW.
