I can't make sense of this either

The carbon fibre looks a distance off the A pillar because the gutter cover trim is gloss black. The yellow part is the optional carbon bucket seat.

Yeah, they're just mashing some stuff up and putting smoke between it in a couple of this pictures... quite odd since it's sort of close to where it should be. I'm pretty sure that seat would be rotated and pointing out the door if it were in the position, and the CF roof looks like it's too far down as well as to the left in relation to the a-pillar, which might even be the c-pillar of the M4 with how you could kind of see it rounding to the left as it goes into the smoke.

In this picture, the open door doesn't quite line up either:

They're certainly smoking something green...

WTH is this? A reveal of the next Spiderman version of the Green Goblin? Is this what PR has come down to by the BMW marketing team?

First the dark photos and angles of the car only from the rear.
Now smoke and mirrors for the M variant?

How shameful of them......

I've gotta disagree...the whole point of a teaser is to get you to watch the official reveal. If they showed you the whole car in the teaser that would completely defeat the purpose wouldnt it? Theyre not trying to hide anything I'm sure they view their design favorably. Whether the market theyre trying to capture does is a completely different story of course.

End of the Insta posts show this.

Is that 10.8 L/km = approx 21 US mpg and 26 U.K. mpg?

Yeah, that's rough if true. Every car should be 30+ nowadays you'd think.

24 hrs to the reveal, and no leaks yet from the press? I find this hard to believe, as the we have seen outstanding renders of the exterior. No technology leaks?? Looking forward to some nice surprises, as don't judge a book by its cover.

There’s been very high quality technology leaks right here on this forum directly from the horse’s mouth as for example some type of MT eClutch and a different S58 revision and engine character. Not to mention coming mild hybrid technology later in the life cycle.

That no pictures from an official brochure has leaked yet is unusual though. But with only a day and change to go, who cares

Someone has the official press release including photos and technical data.

PS thank you for not deleting my posts, it's what keeps Bimmerpost entertaining, compared to Bimmerfest which is DOA these days.

Which is most people ... does a 6mt in and of itself overcome such a controversial look? Guess we'll find out tomorrow!

Anybody know what time BMW will reveal it?

Is it going to be streaming YT live?

Edit: someone said 6pm EST? Sorry, trying to schedule a beer fest Wednesday to go with it!

Cheers

Let's all have patience, it's like x-mass eve and no one can wait what Santa will bring. What's an other 22 hrs, as the F80 stopped production almost 2 years ago? And SOP for the G80/G82 isn't until November.
