I contacted them last night explaining the issues and they seem to have provided me with revised maps this morning. I'm going to give them a quick go now and report back. In the app, it still states v1.0, so I don't know if these are just beta maps that are specific to my VIN for testing. I'll keep you posted with what I find 🙂. |

Anybody found optional settings and care to share them?
I gave Stage 3 a good run out yesterday and whilst the shift speeds are brilliant and there are no issues, it's just a little too harsh on the upshifts (in Sports+ and S3) for my preference. I've dropped it back to Stage 2 as I think this is the sweet spot for me, but going to modify the downshift blip percentages to get a bit more kick/noise on the downshifts. |

Can anyone take a quick video showing you pressing the shift paddle a few times during WOT to redline? Thanks!

I'd like to flash this but I'm worried about the "kick" on shifts because I don't see that as a good thing. Shifts should be as fast as possible while being as smooth as possible and not upset the drivetrain and car balance. This is especially important to those of us that track.

If you do flash, report back with results and impressions particularly on shift speeds and the "kick" when downshifting or upshifting. Sounds like Stage 3 is too violent and uncomfortable for most people. I'm still on the fence and skeptical about this flash but I'm also not crazy about how the stock programming shifts.

Confused over the adapter options. Currently on JB4, but looking towards a full ECU tune and do not want to have multiple adapters.
Best adapter options that can take care of xHP transmission tune and MHD ECU tuning and maybe also for coding? Is the Kies ENET or THOR suitable for the purpose? Bimmerconnect.com states the black MHD flasher adapter (F and G series): "Adapter are compatible with your favorite other apps - xHP Flashtool, xDelete, THOR - the M Flasher, BimmerGeeks Pro-Tool, Bimmercode and many more." But in this tread it looks like the orange MHD adapter is the option for xHP transmission tune for our G8X. |

I used a generic ENET WiFi dongle to flash my car over BM3 (the same adapter will work on MHD too) - this is the bigger style adapter, similar to MHD Black (the one I got was from BMDiag co uk) When trying to flash XHP, this adapter is not supported for "first time" flash. So I borrowed my friends MHD Orange adapter (smaller style adapter, you can also use THOR or XHP adapter). Once the XHP software is installed onto the TCU, you can use any WiFi ENET adapter - for example I can now use my generic ENET WiFi adapter to flash a different XHP map or settings and it works fine and is very quick, about 15 seconds to flash XHP map or a new BM3 map. It is confusing why for first time flash you have to use a smaller style adapter (MHD orange, THOR, XHP) but it may be because of the hardware supporting different communication protocols? The first time flash is more involved and takes about 3/4 minutes as it takes a backup of your stock firmware and flashes an entire new firmware. Once this is done, flashing a XHP map is just a case of uploading some configuration onto the TCU so it is much quicker. I guess they did it this way because the smaller style adapters are more reliable or have been tested properly? In any case, if you have a friend with the smaller adapter, maybe you can borrow it to do the XHP flash, and just get a generic ENET WiFi adapter or a MHD Black adapter which will then work for everything
