Stealth Skyscraper vs Frozen Pure Grey
Anyone have a comparison? For those who have stealth wrapped Skyscraper please drop some pics below and how do you feel about it in person?
Thanks! |

I would think they're gonna look pretty close! The obvious benefit of SSG wrapped stealth is that you're spending the money on PPF vs a frozen paint that I would think you would want to wrap fully to protect it.
Haven't seen pics though...

Post here shows SSG with xpel stealth. There are a few FPG in that thread as well. That’s my plan too. Originally ordered in Frozen Pure Grey II and flipped to SSG when I got my allocation figuring I’d want to wrap the FPG anyway. Only thing I’ve heard is you’d still see the SSG on the interior door frames, etc. |

If you’re going to ppf the FPG anyway then they are going to look 99% the same, might as well save the money and get skyscraper.
Without the ppf I think there is somewhat of a difference in how frozen paint looks vs stealth ppf which doesn’t necessarily come across well in photos. |

Thanks for the responses!
Yeah I hear the people that do have the actual frozen colors say when they see a stealth version on normal paint that it has a different finish... But I’m sure it’s barely a difference and 90% of people would never know the difference until you open the door. If I was to get a frozen paint I would want to wrap it fully so at that point just wasting so much money so that’s what I’m looking into this option. I do wonder if that slight “difference” with having stealth over SSG, makes it look a little darker or lighter than frozen pure grey. Might just be me but slightly darker would be awesome to hear. I love FDG but they discontinued it sadly |

I have Frozen Pure Grey II and now that I've experienced it, I'd likely go back to a Gloss color for my next car. I am ocd, so I had the whole car wrapped in stek film which retains the frozen look. But with ppf and the frozen upcharge, it was basically 10k to get this color. If you must have a matte look, pick your base color carefully as some will look good with matte ppf and some won't. |

I went for BSM with full intention of a stealth PPF. It’s getting wrapped as I type this.
Ultimately when it’s done it will look like Frozen Black, complete with gloss black skirts/diffuser/grill. Last edited by MJBO; 06-15-2023 at 11:33 PM.. |
