Love at first sight...

Just took delivery of my new (to me) 2021 MT BSM G82 with 300 miles on the clock.

Trailer showed up late last Friday afternoon, and after getting that POS out of the way, there she was.

So damn excited for this car.

Black on black is beautiful and I am totally not biased, but man, how'd you find a 2021 with just 300 miles on it?

Thanks, man!

Yes, I'll be diligently following the break-in rules. I'm sure after a few hundred miles it will start to seriously test my restraint. But I'm all about preventative practices so I'll be alright.

Yes. That Lambo was on the truck when it arrived from CA and the driver had to take it off so that we could get the M4 off. It went back on after and he continued his trip to Phoenix.

The dealership in Hollywood set up the shipping and gave me a great deal so I wasn't very involved with setting that up.

But, yeah, the shipper did a pretty solid job. He was late picking up and late delivering, but was solid where it really mattered. The driver even covered the car for the trip. I'd use them again if needed.

Century West BMW in N. Hollywood, CA bought it from BMW Corporate and listed it for sale on one of the online sites. I can't remember which one - I was tracking on all of them for 5-6 months. I called them the same day they listed it for sale and they soon had a handful of people behind me, so I had to pull the trigger relatively fast.

Turns out this car, owned but never registered by BMW, was made available to some high level bigwig over there. I made sure it wasn't used as a show car or for driving school, which is something they have to legally disclose.

The car is immaculate and checked almost all of my boxes with carbon buckets, carbon exterior package, is a manual. And had other options I didn't necessarily need, like carbon ceramic brakes, M Driver's Package, M Drive Pro.

I've never owned an M car before this and I'm really stoked. It's really good have this forum community along for the ride.

Has a Mike Ward plate? Doesn’t really matter, I was just curious.

Enjoy the M4.

Ahhh, I didn't make that connection. The driver was a Russian guy and didn't speak English very well, so I totally could have got that wrong.

Honestly for a '21 that hasn't even done break-in yet, I'd almost want them to do an oil change to the same break-in oil lol

This is exactly how I originally got my X3 M Comp. Century West had it listed for sale at their dealership from BMW corporate before it even hit the lot & had photos available. It was extremely clean & had an absurdly low amount of miles. I was the first guy to call about it. So the sales rep that answered the phone when I called that day kept a tight track of when it arrived & made sure to stash it in the back before I flew out to go pick it up & sign the paper work. Congrats dude!

@althepal Congratulations and it looks great. Looks like you got all the options? Even CCBs. Beautiful.

And, indeed, what a real POS that was blocking your car.

Agreed with other commenters - you might want to get the oil changed just due to the age of the oil at this point and then proceed with break-in (aka driving like a grandma). Schedule your break-in service when you get to ~900-1,000 miles so you don't go over.

Yes, crossed my mind too. The service history shows the oil being changed every year on schedule.

So it basically had an oil change every 100 miles!!

Is there any other service that I should be aware of as far as you know?
