The rear pads wear out quicker because they are smaller, are used more than on other cars, and have poor cooling.
I don't think the compounds are different between the front pads and rear, but that could be possible. Rear pad wear isn't as much of an issue with track pads.

I heard from independent testing that since its brake by wire, if the computer detects brake fade, it would automatically increase brake pressure for the same brake pedal depression.
Worried that if the brakes were to fail, it would come out of seemly nowhere. |
