South Florida Performance Shop Recommendations

Hey All,

Owner of a new to me 2021 G80 Competition. Should be here tomorrow. Looking to get some work done in anticipation of tuning the car. Primarily Catless Downpipes and the Valvetronic Midpipe. Got a price from a local shop for the downpipes of $1,025 (parts and labor for essentially MAD Downpipes). For the price of the downpipes it seemed like the labor was a bit on the higher end? (Nearly $600). Any recommendations for decent performance shops that will charge a fair rate?

I have been using a local (to me) shop to maintain 3 BMW's over the past 4 years. I track my cars frequently so I am a regular there. They provide expert support and repairs for both street and track cars. BMW / Porsche / Ferrari / Lamborghini / McLaren / What have you. They are friendly, easy to work with, and dependable. The owner's name is David.

Been talking to them. My dad had some work done on his Lotus there. They just got a hub dyno a few months ago as well.

I honestly couldn't tell you anymore. I haven't paid attention for a long time now. They will be open either tomorrow or Tuesday. Give them a call.

Went to Transcend Performance near Miramar for my exhaust install. They do everything in house except welding and paint.

Where do you track your car?

Prior to the closing of PBIR last year I was a regular there as well as Homestead, and Sebring. Occasionally Daytona. Last June due to an unfortunate incident at Sebring I found myself in need of a new car, and have spent the time since obtaining a new G82, and equipping it with the necessary "Stuff". Limitless just installed the MP HAS kit last week, and it is now settling and marinating nicely. In two more weeks Master Yoda will perform his wizardry with the alignment, and I will once again be back in the game in either February or March. In the meantime I have been attending some events, hanging out with, and going for ride alongs with friends. It takes the edge off a bit, but just a bit.

Just fyi. Foreign performance automotive. Said they don’t really do installation of any exhaust or aftermarket. At least as of today when I called.

MPI in Kendall is the real deal. They did suspension work on my Red Sport 400. I trust them with my G80.
