I thought Id never use the jacks and stands but surprisingly gave me flexibility to install a lot of mods DIY. I did swap my winter wheels, installed yellow DRL's, zunsport mesh and in future for a new carbon front lip. Im planning on taking the bumper off to install CF air inlets and taking the wheels off makes it easier too. So for another $50, you could spend $150 and get urself a more permanent solution

My Zunsport came today. Hard to believe I placed the order on 10/29 and arrived 11/2 and was shipped from CANNOCK, SF GB to SC. Hope to install next weekend. Will post picks but appears it will fit the G82. It was packed well and seems study.
More to come…. |

I honestly rather go with this Zunsport if it ends up mounting well. It offers more protection (the mishimoto has quite larger holes) and doesn't lower the car further down. Hopefully we get an update here that it's good.

As previously mentioned, Zunsport is legit. it's not chicken wire, it is much thicker and pretty sturdy. Can you bend it in half? sure, it's not a plate like the Mishimoto, but it will take some force. Does it offer more protection than Mishimoto? no, but IMO that one is overkill.

Read up on the Misthimoto before dropping 400+. You have to remove the rubber deflector which BMW has said keeps the air from getting to the cooler as designed. With the ZunSport you only replace 2 screws and add 2 more. I also noted that I spoke to my son who is big into all things BMW and he says Mishimoto quality has gone down. Even one member here noted when his arrived it was bent.
I have zero experience with Mishimoto so take what I say with a grain on salt. The ZunSport seems sturdy enough. Is it a hulking piece of steel, no. Is it a piece of chicken wire, no. Will it protect good enough? Time will tell. I think if I was lowered it would be more imperative but it just seems dumb to put an exposed oil cooler in that location. |

I don't know why you're getting so defensive over this. Just look at the two products. The mishimoto is large cutouts while the Zunsport has a finer mesh that will prevent more finer rocks from getting through the grate. It's also cheaper and has a smaller footprint. |

Here’s the great thing. We have OPTIONS. Buy what works best for you, your budget, your piece of mind.
Great we have a more cost effective and less labor option. Great we have a more costly, slightly more labor, but more coverage option.

To my knowledge The oil cooler on the front of the car is the same on all G80’s. So yes.

It looks high quality! No doubts about that but Im not a fan of how low it sits. Seems like the Zunsport would have better air flow to the area as well. Im still open to both. My car is a long ways off before it's in my driveway so I have plenty of time to make a decision. I had been leaning Zunsport though.
