When will they be available again to see in person?

What's up with not being able to see a real car and minimal information this side of the pond? I thought it was one of the bigger markets?

I thought covid, but that seems like a lame excuse seeing as it's everywhere, yet you can see the car in the UK already and they are going into further lockdown!

I'm ready to buy the car yesterday BMW, an xDrive M3 comp please - take my money!

Thanks for this, hopefully it makes it out west. I can't wait to never drive my wife's car ever again, so it's hard waiting!

I need some more substantial input...like seeing the car IRL or proper reviews soon. I got a call from the Porsche dealer yesterday where my wife and I test drove a 992. They tried to make it more palatable and made us wobble for a while. I thought I was sure of the G82 AWD but now I’m no longer sure where this will end. One more call like that and I’m not sure we’ll be strong enough to wait.

BMW USA is cleaning up, and sending many of the test mules here in the States on cross country display tours to as many dealerships as possible. 45 minutes up close and personal with interior access as well (admit it, you know you want to try out those CF seats). I will be seeing an M3 here in Miami on Oct 27. An invitation is mandatory, so you should contact a local dealership and request one. Alternatively, you could contact BMW USA and try to work through them. Here's your chance boys and girls.

Lol, we already have a Cayenne so we know pretty well how satisfying these cars are to drive but also how frustrating everything about cost is and knowing that you are being ripped off from here to infinity and beyond However if we get a real steal you never know...

Though when timing is right and BMW have a car I like it will always be my choice over a P-car unless I get a great deal (never happens). This time, timing is the issue that could sway me as it did when we got the Cayenne. The X5 was on it’s last MY and the Cayenne on it’s first.

As a fairly objective third party observer 😂 ... If you can swing a 992 then you should do it ! I find with Porsche shopping comparison, you basically need to look at it in isolation as everything is more expensive vs competition.
If you want a Porsche you will get a porshce ...

From experience of the Cayenne I can tell you that even if you can swing it, you swear to never buy one again at every service...it was the same feeling at the first service as at the last after 7 years. A 911 will be twice the pain.

LOL I can see it .... One of the worst feelings in life is knowingly getting ripped off

Heard basic oil change in my area is 600 bucks at dealer. That alone plus idea of paying 90k CAD for a mid-300hp Macan GTS did not sit well with me.

I had the opportunity to see an IOMG G80 on Tuesday here at BMW West (Houston,TX area) This is one of the premier dealerships in the area and hosts the M-Gruppe meets and is an authorized Dinan installer, so i'm hoping they will get more of these cars in the near future!

Needless to say, this car is breathtaking....I couldn't sleep after seeing it. I wish the coupe was also available to see, but I feel both will be equally as stunning...will be tough to decide.

My colleague is at Petit Le Mans (Road Atlanta) and he sent me a video of an IOMG G80 M3 on display there. If he can find me a ticket Saturday morning I'll make the 1 hour drive and go check it out... Oh and maybe watch some racing.

Get less discount and Porsches hold value substantially better than the heavily discounted BMW M cars....

I don't know about service costs I've had none and keep my cars no more than a maximum of 1.5 years.

The M3/M4 are just too heavy to ever be of consideration for me. 4100 lbs AWD M3 Comp... hard pass. At that weight it will feel like the unfun F90 M5 I hated so much.....

Sports Car and SUV is usually my choice for my garage.

Back to topic at hand BMWNA I don't understand at all. Configurator not up, zero information on orders/options etx .... I don't get it

Maybe they know America is already "in the bag". They're gonna move units here either way so they focus their time on up and coming markets... who knows but I agree it's odd. The best I get here in America is stupid offers to "upgrade" my F80 to an M340i. Yeahhh

Thanks for the responses, a lot make sense, a lot still doesn't, but I guess we don't have a choice but to wait. I'm excited to hear dealers are getting them though, will reach out to a few in the Bay Area tomorrow.
