There's nothing for blue lovers. All the blues except Frozen Portimao are boring. It's all a matter of perspective, however, as I think my CS looks boring in San Marino Blue.
The F series like yours is absolutely beautiful imo in that blue, its just it doesn't work well on the G series...might as well go Tokyo lime green to go with that quad exhaust and pig nose

I have it narrowed down to either Frozen Portimao Blue, Frozen Orange (only exists on the Australian configurator lol), or Fire Orange.

My Fire Orange will likely be my 2nd G80 (and final 6MT ever) that I will be holding onto for the next 50 years. If I try to pull some Individual Color nonsense now I won't be taking delivery until December.

That São Paulo Yellow... yeesh, dunno man, it's too fluorescent-looking (cop magnet). So I guess it's either rental-fleet white or that frozen white metallic but I am definitely getting one probably 2022 if/when this COVID business goes away for my 60th. It'll be the "base" manual for sure, though.
Crazy I found my MG F80 to be insanely easy to keep clean. I just hated how the CF accents didnt show out.
Same ... LOVED my MG F80... but the carbon roof totally blended in ..

I'd probably go with the gray again this time... black wheels.

I like the brooklyn gray and toronto red. Glad they finally have a true red instead of some wannabe burgundyish orange. Also don't mind the portimao blue and tanzanite... but they really should have brought back an M exclusive blue like interlagos or san marino.

I'd really like to see the Toronto Red M3 in the wild. I don't want a white or grey M3... boring. I have a DD for that. This car needs to stand out a bit. The SP Yellow just might be a bit too over the top... i.e. highlighter! Green is intriguing too, but just not into a green car long term. In 2015 I ended up going with the Sakhir, over the Austin and loved it. In 2018 there were no allocations and we pulled a car from another dealer... the infamous YM Blue. I like it, but too light. So I think it's going to the red and Toronto definitely more of a red than we've had, and I don't mind the hint of Orange. With the black accents I think it will look quite nice. As for the front... well, I'm starting to get there with it... just SO different. Back and sides are great. Those big M3 hips still ever present . Like the wheels much better than those 666's I have now. Just had it with those geometrical nightmares... just too busy. A decent video of an X4M in TR... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j5TrFg07zM and some decent close up photos of it too... https://www.carscoops.com/2020/04/to.../#lg=1&slide=0.

Thanks for the links! Unfortunately, Toronto Red has a little too much orange, for my taste. It's evident when you see the sun, or lights, shining on it. I wasn't sure until I saw those links.

I'm definitely not crazy about the color choices. I'm hoping Brooklyn Gray is a lighter gray, and not closer to Mineral Gray. I have Mineral Gray now, and it's too bland. Maybe Oxide? But, I thought I read that it will only be available on the base model, and not competition.

I'm not a green-type of guy, although I think IoM is interesting. I would never do yellow - definitely not me. I like Portimao Blue - but, it has become common on M340i's. The white is nice - but, a little on the bland side. I won't get a black - no way - too high-maintenance.

I wish there were a silver color - Silverstone or Hock or Space Gray. Or, a deeper red like Ferrari or Imola. I think my favorite color with BMW is Laguna Seca - love that color.

Dravit is incredible. I have it on my current M340. But that's also why I probably won't get it on the M3. I like to change things up with each new car.

Yep, I currently have Dravit too and love it. My decision on M3 color will be driven by my brother, who currently has him name down for a G80 and is considering Dravit. If he does that he leaves me no choice but to get something else for the M3 I will get when my lease is up. Can't be too matchy matchy! I am steering him towards Sao Paolo Yellow!

Yeah, but even Ferrari Red sometimes looks like it has a bit of orange in it too... https://www.topspeed.com/cars/car-ne...-ar175529.html. Imola would be a great choice. Wonderful red color. I agree with you about the Portimao too and Tanz is too dark. I'd never get black... especially here in CT with winter road mess.

I don't mind a bit of orange if it's subtle. Shakir was cool because it changed in bright sun where the orange stood out to a candy apple like red in the dark. The configurators just never did it justice and photos always vary. I'm hoping the Toronto might just be a little bit different and bold enough while not going over the top with a color like SP yellow.

Yeah after seeing that video, I have no idea what color to get. It's way too orange. I've seen them on the road plenty of times in NYC, but I never paid much attention to the color because I'm not a "red car guy."

You're right! I do see a little bit of orange in Ferrari Red! It's less than Toronto, but it's still there. I'd probably get Ferrari, if it were an option. The orange seems subtle enough. I'm with you - Imola would be the top choice, for red.

Also agree with you on the Taz - way too dark.

Same. Well, I won't be getting one for a while, yet. So, I'll have time to look at the colors, in person. Who knows - maybe they'll add/delete some colors. I just can't justify spending over $1,000 for a color. Can't imagine spending close to $5,000 for individual. I'd rather put that money towards other stuff.

Hmm... as F80 Tanzanite owner this is the first pic where it looks quite nice to me. I kinda like the red color and i think IOM is really cool, a nice mix between 'loud' and classy

$5,500 based on prior models and probably delay it several months. My conern with getting an individual car is it wont get done before the AWD G8x goes into production in the summer.

The list of colors from the large .pdf from this page: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/globa...petition-coupé list different colors.

It says about exterior colors:

Also available are Alpine White non-metallic, Sapphire Black metallic, Skyscraper Grey metallic, Brooklyn Grey metallic and Portimao Blue metallic. The selection of BMW Individual paint shades offered from launch – which also includes several Frozen variants with a shimmering matt finish – bring additional variety and particularly eye-catching flourishes.

Very nice option if you looking for toning it down. If I go for a darker color this would be a top choice. Not sure I want to hide details to this extent though.

My issue is that I have one of the first allocations at my dealership and I won't see any of these colors in the wild before I have to make a decision.

Yes, that is risky for sure. I know you don’t like IOM but For me it’s currently a very interesting option. I love the ocean and it reminds me of the water a sunny day at a white sand tropical beach. Still not sure I’m able to live with the loudness of it though over a life cycle.

Funny, you don't like it because it's too loud, and I don't like it because its not loud enough.
