This has been on my last few cars. Most people including most BMW people wouldn't have a clue what it is, but it was my plate during one of my European deliveries. Special sentimental meaning to me without being what I at least consider to be kind of dumb or mundane or whatever. Again, personal opinion. That's a BMW Art plate frame BTW. The color seemed to go well with the Santorini.

Again, its all about what you want. I consider your plate totally dumb and makes no sense. You might as well put the regular plate on it. But it means something to you so you drive it. Dont have to try and force other people to "get creative". I would rather make it simple and easier to understand than make it so weird that people dont even know what the hell is going on. Case in point, one person I know had this plate - "ABNLUAMD" Made no sense and looked stupid, but for him, it was great. It meant Abnormal Urine analysis (UA) MD. He was a kidney doctor. So for him it made sense, for others it was gibberish. I like to think it should be able to be interpreted by common folks and you want it to mean something. I showed it to my 8 yr old yesterday and he said M3 Spider. So its dumbed down but it works for most people. Nothing wrong with that, but calling out other when yours mean nothing to me doesnt help either. Cheers !!!

I only mentioned the get creative part because you said there's only so much you can do with six or seven letters implying that, well can't do much so I might as well be boring. But like you said we don't have to drive each other's cars so to each his own.

while trying to get ideas for a new license plate, I saw this one from Virginia.

surprisingly, according to my state's DMV website, M THREE is actually available as of this morning. Hope it'll still be available when I take delivery next week.(can't hold it until I have at least a temporary registration card)
