Hey first time poster, i ordered my M4 about last week i received a production number when i placed my deposit im assuming i have an allocation locked in. Dealer said im looking at June not sure what week that is or when do i get the VIN so i can track production.

If you have a production number, you have an allocation. You can call the BMW Genius with the prod. number and they’ll tell you what your build week is. (844) 443-6487

Create your mygarage.bmwusa.com login and enter your production number there. Log in using Chrome and search for the chrome browser extension for it. It will tell you what you need to know. Also the dealer can print out what week your build is slotted for. You don't need the VIN to track production and in fact won't get one until it actually starts production. You just need the build / commission number.

Also, once you find your build week, search around for a thread with the title of your build week. If one doesn't exist, create one. There will likely be other people with your build week, and you can share information.

When you get mygarage setup, post your progress. Some people like to leave out their VIN number, in the screenshots when they post. Once your build leaves, you can then find out what RORO (Roll on Roll Off) vessel it has been assigned to, and you can track it across the pond. You’re already on the east coast, so you have the fastest shipping times.

You should already be in 111 status, 112 will come shortly. At this time, you can still make changes on your order. If you ordered an individual color, changes are locked in, once you lock your color in. Individual orders cannot be changed, without being cancelled.
