my buckets are not one of those colors. Curious if any has had an upholstery shop make some and if BMW leather material is available. I know you used to be able to buy rolls of cloth/leather for older cars.

Ah. My apologies. I’m not sure about that but I bet it’s out there.

I had the opportunity to see and sit in an M3 with the buckets, in a car with about 12k miles on it. The seats weren’t bad, but, the little area towards the bottom left of the bolster didn’t seem to be in good condition. Perhaps the original owner didn’t clean/condition the leather, as there were signs of cracking and dirt build up.
For me, it was an easier decision to not get them because I don’t have tons of space in my garage to get in/out of them, since the door needs to be open pretty wide to make use of the sills to get out. Getting in was easier, but, after about 3 or 4 tries, I could tell it would be a pain in my specific garage. They are comfortable, and yes the leather does stretch a bit, but nothing too horrible. They do look great from the rear passengers’ view, alas, I could not justify them in the car that I have ordered. Plus, the regular seats (which I also had the opportunity to sit in) have the ‘cooling’ option, which is much more of a benefit in hotter climates, than not. |

That said, they look a lot worse in the photo. The leather is tight across the bottom of the seat which is why it looks that way. |

I support myself with my left hand on the door sill. My right hand uses the armrest for support. I try to keep my butt high over the lower bolster so I don’t drag my butt across. I’m 5’10, 180lbs (insert cat call 😂
I’ve had a few people tell me that the interior falls under warranty, and if the seats or steering wheel show signs of excess wear, they can be replaced free of charge. I haven’t confirmed this directly. |

35k miles on them so far and no concerns. I honestly don't notice a difference from when I got the car. I was undecided about them leading up to getting the car and right before production I changed my build and I couldn't be happier!
