You can leave you high beams on and it will not bother on-coming traffic or cars in front of you

That's honestly a really cool feature. I'm coding out ASD and coding in dazzle as soon as bimmercode updates to G80/82. I know I could do it now, but not in any rush since I haven't even done my break in service yet

It's really intuitive. Unless you go into expert mode, you don't need a cheat sheet. Also tons of videos online.

He probably didn't read the thread title and thinks that it's a coding thread for eSys and other incredibly difficult to use options.

Once I got BimmerCode, I never went back.

Agreed. Nice and easy for the most part. Now if we can just get the how to code for the anti-dazzle we'll be all set

Everything else works just fine.

Sorry to re-bump this but has anyone gotten the anti dazzle to work? Is there a easy way to do this with bimmercode?

ASD tested and switch off using Bimmercode

It seems that without ASD, the sound is louder.
Any of you got the same impression?

It's not impossible they use some sort of white noise to add additional insulation in the more comfort modes.

Hi all, sorry for the late reply but a PM reminded me I should really post this.

CODE AT YOUR OWN RISK, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR A DEALERSHIP VISIT DUE TO A DIAG DROPOUT OR BMW LOCKING YOU OUT OF THESE FEATURES IN THE FUTURE.

G8x CODING FOR ANTI DAZZLE HEADLIGHTS AS OF 03/21 SOFTWARE UPDATE

Under the BDC module in expert there are 4 groups called LaMaster 1 through 4. They will be identified by LA1, LA2, and LA3. New values are after the space on each line. Print it out, these take some searching and you will drop out of diagnostic mode sometimes switching in and out of the app.

LA1

C_BLC_PRE_ENA | 1
LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y | AFS

LA2

C_AFS_ECO_LEVEL_3_ENA | 01
C_AFS_ENA | 01

LA3

LUT_AFS_CODRV_HOR | standard/init
LUT_AFS_DRV_HOR | F040_G005_AHL...
C_CLC_CURV_V2 | 23
C_CLC_CURV_V3 | 28
C_CLC_EXT_ENA | 01
C_HBA_DIM_ENA | 01
C_HBA_GFHBA_ENA_V_HI | 3C
C_HBA_GFHB_ENA | 01

There are 4 more codings in the lane assist camera "KAFAS04" which we cannot currently access with bimmercode. Supposedly these will make the auto dim less aggressive while also making the beams tighter. The HBA will still perform extremely well without these changes. These can be changed with Esys.
I HAVE NOT TESTED THIS AT ALL ON G8X. IF YOU HAVE ESYS, PROCEED WITH CAUTION.

C_FLA_COUNTRY_WITH_MULTIPLE_REFLECTORS | 01
C_FLA_US_SENSITIVITY_MODE | 00
C_FLA_BS_ENTER_THRESH | 03
C_FLA_BS_EXIT_THRESH | 02

Thank you to "juhcobywankenobi" on the G20 forum for posting a screenshot of the cheat codes for this.

I don't understand this. 'splain please. The cabin is louder WITHOUT ASD? I would understand this at WOT near the redline, but at low speeds it's louder?

Doesn't make sense to me either. I coded it off and the cabin is more peaceful. Doesn't seem louder at all. What exactly is louder?

It has a noise canceling effect on road noise.

Similar to noise canceling headphones the asd also supplies a supplemental frequency to isolate your ears into hearing engine noise rather that tire and wind.

This is exactly what it seems. Some sound seems previously canceled and can now be heard.
i have to admin there is not so much differences.
Must switch on again and decide what do I prefer with or without ASD

Probably the problem will be solve after a good cat back implementation

It seems the exhaust sound is louder.
In fact I'm not 100% sure it really cut all the ASD but maybe some noise canceled and fake sound seems always present.
