Red is a possible color option because at night when I open the door while the car is running (can't remember if it has to be in gear) the door light strip starts pulsing in red as an alert feature I guess
Which is exactly why they probably don't let you choose it. The car can be in park and it will flash on the door that is open. I wonder if there is a solid red if the car goes into limp mode or something. We should be allowed to choose any color we want

Someone had already coded theirs to red but I lost the post when I was going to ask them how.

No matter what color I select in bimmercode (even standard colors optioned in settings) nothing changes.

Tested anti dazzle on 03/21, codes and works as intended. Noticed I had errors directly after the software update however. After recode, no issues.

What errors did you have and what did you do as far as re-coding it? Are you having the issue as mentioned where you need esys to fix it?

I just had my 1200mi service which seemed to reset everything. I re-coded a bunch of stuff and a few extras from my initial session and got a persistent error (usually they disappear right away) that made it seem like I was going to have to go to the dealer, but it went away by the next time I got back in the car.

Anyone else notice that when you code Anti-dazzle, the highbeems have a hard Time deciding whether to stay on or off? Thats the one thing thats been bothering me. Not sure if I did it wrong or its just how they function.

I haven't tried it yet, but it was mentioned somewhere back in this thread that its a problem you have to use esys to fix.

There's a good chance they performed the 03/21 software update while it was being serviced, which would reset any and all coding.

It was a persistent error for both low beam headlights. Went away either A: Because I recoded anti-dazzle or B: the coding getting overwritten set an error for AFS, which was not cleared immediately. The car went into sleep while I was reprinting the directions I had typed up, better formatted than my handwritten notes. The car had a chance to go to sleep and get woken up, may have allowed BDC time to reset.

On the light sensitivity issue... I'm not sure. The camera really wants a dark sky as a contrast to switch into anti dazzle mode. If there are streetlamps or it's twilight I have noticed instead of going into the shifted beam mode, the high beams will just shut off. I expect it to be normal behavior.

Good point. I didn't think about it all getting reset with the software update.

I coded my car last night with the latest version (3.11.1-7565) and since I couldn't remember what a G20 is (X3?) I just picked "4 series" and had no issues with the "head unit" section, which is the only one that I changed.

I didn't try to turn off ASD because it doesn't bother me.

Coding required includes BDC, FLM. and KAFAS. Make sure to do all three.

Got any more detail on the KAFAS module?

Anything with anti-dazzle impact the usage of laser high beams? Im having the same issue as Ximian where I can't get mine to activate even on a dark country road (but my X5 they came on a lot more often)

You need esys to correctly and fully code the anti-dazzle. I just had mine done by Almaretto remotely last night and the difference in the headlight behavior is huge. His fee is totally worth it to me as i really did not want to put in the time and effort of learning Esys just to get this one function done properly. I'll continue to use BimmerCode for the more basic options.

No instructions posted as far as I know.

You would need E-sys, Launcher Pro 3.7 or E-sysX, and Psdzdata.
