Does anyone know what is causing this in my G82?

I took it to the dealer and they didn't have an answer.

It happens only when I turn off my car or during auto on off sometimes

I think I realize once that when I push the brake pedal after I stop my car it goes away? But still not sure about that.

Has anyone faced something similar?

Not my G82, but my 996 makes that noise lately when the car is just turned off. It kind of sounds like that squeak sound you can make when you pull apart the mouth piece on an inflated balloon.. very weird. Help!

Yes! That's the best way to describe the sound! I feel like it's got something to do with the AC.

My dealer sorted the issue. It was a faulty fuel pump causing the noise.

A while later my car started jerking and wouldn't upshift in high throttle.

They installed a new fuel pump and everything seems to be okay now. Sound is also gone!

Check your 996's fuel pump.

It could be a couple of things; mine makes a similar noise, but not as bad (as does my neighbour's)

It could be one of the fuel pumps, as noted above (I seem to think it's the high pressure pump), or it could be the ac pressurising the 'thermos'. I cannot recall the technical name of the thermos, but it stores hot/cold water so the pre-heat/cool is more efficient
