Michelin Cup 2 after 5 track days

Pretty sure it was from running in the cold at COTA for 3 days in Nov., temps around +/- 40.

Then followed by 2 days at MSR houston, warmer temps, but not hot. As well a few chilly mornings in the upper 30's as a daily driver, the tires are only 2 months old.

Running camber plates at -3.2 and KW HAS. Obviously going to back off the camber.

Opinions? Thoughts?

Wheew, spicy. Thunderhill is an hour from my house. This is what keeps me from going, weekly.

Check hot temps across the tire with your next set and back off camber until temps even out inside to out. It's also possible you are over driving a bit causing understeer rather than getting the car rotated so that outside front can get set.

Less camber and probably less hot pressure based on the 2nd photo of it being corded near the center.

I'd second that, definitely some overdriving going here, what is your toe setting 0 ?

The camber and pressure adjustments will help a bit but 5 days is to be expected on a 3,900 lbs front engine car.

Indeed, on the M4C Vert (4300lbs) I had to replace the front cup2s after 3 days and the rear were shot after 5.

Ditto. I cooked a set of A052s in 3 track days despite rotating criss cross after each day.

It's been Toyo RRs ever since. They are a tad slower but wear great, tolerate heat and cost half the price of most super 200TW tires. You can't street drive them though.

Agreed, 5 days is good already. But if you can get more with a few easy adjustments why not?

I'm also running -3.2 on the same tires. Will report if I can make them last longer than 5 days, but honestly, 5 sounds about right.

Are you running square setup? I if so what sizes and wheels? I'd like to run a square setup, but having xDrive might make it a little more sensitive to matching circumference..?
